The past year has been kinda worthless tbh. I checked out and came back and nothing changed, except it seems like there are less people on Nostr now.
I think the hype was too early. Clients weren't as accessible. I also had to create a new key because my dumbass logged out and hadn't recorded my private key. Hopefully it picks up steam. It would help if people posted interesting content on NOSTR instead of ads for shit and bitcoin circle jerking.
What content is interesting for you?
If the content isn't good, that's your fault. I see tons of farming shit I like
I can certainly find content yes. But part of the appeal of social media is when it shows you interesting content you didn't know was there.
This is Nostr's biggest problem. It's all Bitcoin all the time. Like bitch, I don't care what the money is or does I literally just want to buy drugs with it. Find something better to talk about. I can't do it by myself. No one interacts with you unless it's about Bitcoin.
Because the incentives are to write about Nostr development to get zapped than to do the development. Could it be an accidental drug? Just like how you might accidentally step on a needle, you might start off thinking you're building distribution but then you find yourself making enough money by simply building distribution, why build a product at all? This seems to be the main problem with our fallen brothers at the Web3 junction as well. The main job has become marketing rather than product or solving problems.
