Oddbean new post about login | logout In my childhood, I used to interact with the monkeys near the temple in front of my house. The more you engage with them, the more fascinating it becomes. You start to glimpse the complexity of their thinking. They understand us more than we realize.
Very cool experience being able to interact with those creatures like that. We can learn so much about reality and ourselves interacting with other beings. They can even learn to engage with our ritualized behaviors, like fist bumps, waving hello, shaking hands etc. and in proper context. Highly intelligent.
