Supporting women is also about disintermediating and diversifying the funding. User zaps and subscriptions > bounties > crowdfunding > direct grants Women tend to be more discriminating about who they take money from, how the money is dispersed, why that person is giving them money, under which conditions, and how that looks to others, so they sometimes turn down "free" money and watch the men scoop it up, unencumbered.
