I don’t know if they personally identify as furries. More likely they’re just performers wearing the costume they’ve been asked to wear. I wore cat ears on Halloween. I’m not a furry. I don’t find dressing up as an animal exciting in that way.

Also I will weirdly and adamantly refuse to cross the GG Bridge, except by car or if they closed the whole thing and I could walk down the middle. The railings just do not seem high enough for a gust of wind to not knock me off. It is pretty and I know some secret photo taking spots.

 Yep it can be pretty windy in SF, especially on the bridge. It was called the Golden Gate before the bridge was built. The hills are golden and the entrance to San Francisco Bay.
