Hate having my week derailed by COVID. In reality it's a multi-week to 3month slow down for me. I had a pretty serious (but mysterious) respiratory infection about a decade ago that sent me to the hospital. So I've had a ton of respect for COVID from the start. It took me years to fully recover. It's made me be extremely cautious after my 1st COVID infection last year. This time the social pressures to not miss a second of, well anything, feels much higher.
I feel like we're living in groundhogs day, not making progress against COVID. I'm definitely more COVID conscious than most of my peers(parent brain to blame?). But if COVID is part of life, the playbook on minimizing your risk should be close at hand. I'm gonna jot mine down as a reminder to myself and encouragement to others to not harm themselves and their loved ones. We really do have the tools and science to win this pandemic.
