 greed
I don't like that explanation because single digit percents can be a lot more lucrative than flat fees and are much less intuitive

the only way the flat fee thing is explained by greed is if they were planning on outright fraud, charging people for a lot more installs than they actually had. which is possible but pretty dumb
@d @701d41fb Fren, I don't want to shock or scare you, but... there are a lot of really dumb business people in the world.
 well that's certainly true
@d @701d41fb Could be price scales. From what I heard, Unreal does a lot of business with big companies, and so it takes a small cut out of billions of dollars in revenue. Unity does business with small and medium sized companies. It looked to me like they wanted to shut down Unity personal entirely, but despite what the jews wanted couldn't, so as hamfisted as an 85 IQ pigman they killed that service with extortion prices, with the idea that they'll sell more of their other packages and that's where the money will come from. In other words, personal is now a toy package, and if anyone is serious about their game they'll buy the more expensive software.
Still jewish as fuck, because free games are part of the capital stock of the internet and what make it so fun, and bring people here. It's a straightforward attempt to rent seek off of a very free, open, and productive space. Jews don't see value in anything that is not paying them rent. That's always been true and its a trend that's becoming more open post-2020. It's also why they're bad at economics, and essentially a mob.
