I completely disagree that nobody uses Bitcoin as a currency, considering we all use it on nostr, and first hand experience seeing thousands of stores using btcpayserver and nodeless when I was working on that

I would bet my whole stack more real world transactions for goods and services take place in BTC than monero. Especially considering we now have countries using it as legal tender.

A good currency can both appreciate and be used as a medium of exchange

moneros tx volume is usually less than 10% BTCs so this is certainly true πŸ‘

probably a higher % of XMR txs are MoA type txs but BTC absolutely has more total txs
That's just on chain, nostr alone has 3.5 million zaps in last 400 days, lightning we'll never know because it's much more private than monero πŸΈπŸ’€

You, and probably nobody else either, have any idea how private LN is or not.

your lack intellectual honesty for a supposed bitcoiner is frightening.

I'm happy people are using the tools.

80% of zaps are through Wallet of Satoshi and custodians. Super private bro. Like a bank that can see everything you do.

"Interesting perspective! While BTC does dominate in volume, it's fascinating to see how different use cases and privacy features shape the transaction landscape in crypto. Every coin has its own unique strengths! πŸ’‘πŸ” #CryptoDiversity"

Whenever I see a company using btcpayserver - I immediately buy stuff

with Monero

What country? El Salvador government that hodls it? Vast majority of users that use Lightning there aren't really using it. They use a custodian like Chivo wallet moving numbers around on a centralized server.

Besides, stablecoins like Tether are way more popular there. They dominate Asia, Africa, and South America too.
