Genuine interactions is mentioned frequently as the answer. This was the primary reason I left Twitter too. Everything was starting to feel fake - that LinkedIn vibe seeping in. Everyone just trying to grow their sphere of influence with templates tweets. That’s not something I care for. Nostr restored that feeling of just hanging out with people and saying whatever. No status, no audience capture - just conversations. I hope it always stays this way. nostr:note14xz07085gq9a5xatqhk0fkfk45v9kjmex5j3km8lj625h99477jsmfku0t
I personally feel it's due to lack of an algorithm. I just hope this personal connection doesn't go away.
I doubt it's entirely due to the algorithms, I think it's more because of the people in the network. Nostr is still very niche, and if/when it becomes more popular, I'm sure you'll see the same patterns becoming more apparent here, to the point that algorithms may be required to "fix" that. But I'm also willing to admit the possibility of each social network having their own inherent "vibe," and nostr always remaining just as its pioneers intended... 🌲⛄
Very similar experience here
Yeh I think so. I feel like people are being themselves on here with no filter. Whereas on twitter you can have to be more careful about what you tweet about. Since there is algo every is forced to play the game to try maximise their engagement and reach even if they are normie with no followers.
