I like controlling what I see and also I don't like to be influenced. By nonsense and here I can kinda create my own algorithm. Here, there are no big corporations. Pushing their products all in my face. Here I can can receive value for putting out value.

Several reasons… there is no algorithm to evoke emotions(unfortunately no algorithm also makes it hard to follow people that don’t post a lot though too), the culture is generally more positive, and I’m not a product for big tech to sell… those are the biggest reasons

Why I use nostr: To test my beliefs and understanding of the world amongst an open, respectful, and thoughtful community. To connect with people who share similar values and goals for the future. To be part of something bigger than myself, and in some way maybe help promote the ideals of the protocol. To find a place where authenticity is still valued. To laugh. To think. To be.
Love the opportunities that will rise from the open source code. Already seen some cool projects. Also got Bluesky and there's already cool apps for that and it's In beta!! only known about this decentralisation thing about 2 months and I'm studying comp sci at GCSE still but I hope to have some sort of job related to this when I'm older.
Because I like interacting with, and learning from smart people who understand Bitcoin and are pro-freedom. I like being mildly connected to social media, but I hate participating in the outrage factories of FB and Twitter. I also hate giving content (value) to platforms that censor. I like authenticity, and I find it here. I think Nostr is the future and I'm excited to be a part of it this early.
