 On it now, and can definitely relate with the adoption pain. But God, is it nice when someone DOES jump on it at your recommendation.

WhatsApp isn't shit, but I have it for those too cowardly for XMPP (and my youngest brother).

 It is satisfying haha!

I sadly pretty much have to use WhatsApp because it's become the standard instead of SMS here, but I use contact scopes permission in Graphene so it only sees the numbers I want it to.

 Ah, the one feature I wish Calyx swiped from it (and which isn't available on stock Googledroid or iOS).

I can't imagine the hellscape I'd be stuck on if an even more niche messenger would have been adopted by myself, like Threema.
