Sorry for repeating myself but this needs to be said.

Most Republicans and quite a few Democrats are pushing for the social stratification of America, along racial and economic lines.

Almost every white American is here because their white ancestors ran away from a stratified society. By advocating for social stratification here, they are in effect saying that their ancestors were wrong to come here.

They should have accepted their place in that already-stratified society.

Indeed, which, again, is incredibly hypocritical. Obviously, their ancestors didn't accept it and tried to change it, while they work to actively undo that just because racism makes them feel good.
