It has things cached. I think of the numbers on primal & Nostr. Band like all time numbers. The count pulled in realtime is probably more real. How many people followed me then never came back I wonder? 

 Their contact lists prob still exist on relays though. I don’t think any relays delete contact lists for dormant accounts. I think Primal and nostr.band just aggregate the data from many more relays 

 Also Primal’s cache is constantly updated. When people unfollow you the number goes down.
