Yes no need to lie, but it would be awesome if you would be more balanced and be more forthcoming on your twttr post about the absolute need for something like nostr, for freedom of speech and decentralized communication channels, and how incredible it is that it exists, instead of focusing only on the negatives around privacy/pseudonymity and the kyc thing. Surely you want your followers to have an alternative to twttr? Also, by participating here people help the devs by testing and offering feedback and that is partly how it keeps getting better. To just assume it’ll be here so that everyone ‘sane’ can leave twttr and invite their followers here when kyc is implemented there … well, I have some judgements about that but no need to be explicit, I think you get the picture:)
Assuming it’s more a lack of info than an intentional lie (but I’m an optimist about people). I stopped using Twitter last March. So when blue check verification came to be, I assumed “requires credit card and ID” or some variation thereof, and had already detoxed. But many of us “X-emigrants” probably haven’t actually tried or tested it out. For me, I’ve made a full transition to nostr because the vibes on Twitter largely suck (as they do on any large scale social media platform), whereas here I’m actually connecting with people in meaningful ways. If you’re delivering valuable content to people who would benefit, then it makes sense to use a flawed platform with a large number of users (h/t @joenakamoto and your TikTok vids 🫡).

Complains about nostr #privacy due optional relays knowing the IP of the plebs. While at the same time admits Twitter requires KYC: phone number, email and debit card... You know very well majority of users, including part of your followers, won't bother with SMS services, email aliases or cRyPtO debit cards. Privacy on Twitter is 100x worse than on #Nostr. You are the one creating FUD.

Yes, cause most people know how to avoid KYC. And I guarantee the terms of service prohibit this. So you'll end up building a follower base, then when you make any waves, they investigate you, at a surface level - then discover this and easily deplatform you. The evil is not limited to just KYC, which is real ducking evil. It's the deplatforming in general.
