You do that within Firefox, on the about:profils page. 

Set the profile you need as "default".

You can also start Firefox with a specific Profile.
Firefox.exe -P "Profilename"
or
Firefox.exe -new-instance -P "Profilename" 
to get a new instance. 

Create a shortcut on your Desktop and you are good to go. 

You could also hack the registry and extend the std apps with the command line options. 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\htmlfile\shell\open\command

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.html
