I am working on food photography pictures for zap.cooking. This is a practice shot of tofu. I am also using satellite for the first time. This posting is a test.
Super high resolution picture of tofu from a satellite. Nice job
 Thanks! That means a lot.
Closeup and backlighting are great 👍 . If you want it less contrasty you can add a reflector from the front or hold up a white piece of paper. Window light is also a great option.
I added the contrast in editing....hold on, let me show you the original....i will definitely try that trick
 here is the original

I was just using the kitchen light, not very thought-out set-up...this is practice. I am going to get some equipment together.
I think that’s perfectly fine in terms of contrast. I would tint it a little bit towards blue afterwards because the kitchen light is pretty warm and makes the tofu quite yellowish. (Or set the white balance in camera). But that’s very subjective.
Ty I will take this advice. I appreciate the help. I'm still learning about white balance and all that jazz.
My best advice would be to look a other food photos you like and try to get similar results, and learn from trial and error.
 got it. Thank you!
