 @3967703f They started using this and offering 'training' sessions for NHS workers back in 2008, just before I left...no, I thought, what they want is for staff to put up with under-staffing and other key stress-inducing issues. I refused to go.
 @02439a38 That's exactly it.
 @3967703f Another popular (meaningless) word they'd started using was "stakeholder" trying to imply that all workers had a "stake" in the NHS...bullshit, they don't, only their labour. For me a "stakeholder" was that person in vampire films who holds the stake.
 @02439a38 😃 You're right. They're trying to make you FEEL part of something without giving you the things that would MAKE you part of it. They think a word will suffice. 🙄
 @3967703f I was blackballed more or less as soon as I went back into nursing...because after having spent 15yrs in France where bullshit is instantly recognised and people aren't afraid to speak up, I'd adopted that MO and they didn't like it. I wasn't a "good NHS fit" they said. Hmm, that's part of the huge problems it has I thought...
 @02439a38 Yep.Speaking truth in a large, abusive institution is not allowed.
 @3967703f I used to run a little sweep amongst some of my fellow workers about who'd get 'chosen' to be the next Ward Sister...I won, every time as I could see who "fit" and who was being groomed (willingly) to do that.
 @02439a38 Watching brown nosers always seriously disgusts me.
 @3967703f I stopped short of actually applying some brown stuff to my nose and sniffing whilst in the company of one particularly creepy woman destined to become Ward Sister...it was hard...
 @02439a38 🤣
 @3967703f I did find all sorts of little ways though to express my discontent...wearing my name badge upsidedown, or all my badges in a row, writing really really small or big in reports, using hundreds of post-its everywhere about everything, wearing a fluorescent red cardigan...
 @02439a38 🤣 I've only worked for a couple/few orgs. I've mostly worked on my own because I can't follow dumbass rules. I can't do it and I'm not doing it.

I recommend 'spell casting' against oppressive management. Long story short - it worked for me.

re- resilience:
After 8 years at one job my resilience was exhausted. Very loud arguments with my manager (seems I was too needed to be fired). I was on my knees - exhausted with it all. But I loved the work (IT troubleshooting).
So one weekend I resorted to spell casting ("get this fcker off my back!"
On the Monday he called to say his wife had died. Yikes! So time on the job without him. He returned eventually much more 'humane'. The next year he shows me a pic of him & wifey on recent holiday. Turns out he had used that last resort 'relative died' ploy to get extra time off.
I lasted another 2 years until ye olde reorganization of dept put an end to it all.
 @5fdf2f13 Jesus. I thought the rule was you can only kill people off at work who were already dead. 🤔 😃 @02439a38
