I think it's worse than a Bitcoin subreddit (except for the fact that Reddit went to shit due to no longer being FLOSS and due to moderation). Subreddits are individual sections for people that talk about all sorts of topics. You talk about stupid things, you make jokes, you make memes and you ask topic-specific things about what you wish, including Bitcoin. This is like a whole fucking social media platform for people absolutely obsessed about Bitcoin. You "estimate" that "98% of the world couldn't care less about Bitcoin", but even the 2% that do don't need to be more obsessed by it than by any other tool they use. I use many tools. I'm not constantly talking about any specific one of them. Most people who are really passionate about a topic, which is admirable, are interested in something which is rather wide, things like programming, mathematics, art. Even when it's more niche, they usually don't think everyone should be as focused on it as they are. Money isn't really something one would normally be this obsessed about and the constant focus of one specific currency very understandably make people wary of Nostr.
