 @67975218 @mushroom soup face shield isn't strictly necessary but it does give you an extra margin of protection on top of safety glasses

a vice should make it easier to cut rings and also wind the wire

 @67975218 @mushroom soup that makes sense, exactly what i would do- put a slit or a screw or something in a rod to attach the wire and wind it using the drill

these pliers are interesting. haven't seen those before

 @woodland creature :pleroma_fox_tan: @mushroom soup i didn't even need to do that. you bend the wire so it catches on one of the teeth on the chuck of the drill and it stays put, very easy to remove.
