 CVS is not a healthcare system. Walgreens is not a healthcare system. These are glorified retail stores and should not be trusted to distribute drugs let alone vaccines. 

 CDC in 2021: “We will have a booster vaccine every year, think of it like the flu shot. Thankfully RNA technology means we can quickly create and approve finely tuned vaccines for future strains.”

CDC in 2022: (whispering into the corner of the room) “there is a new vaccine out, it’s updated, it’s bivalent. you can go get that, if you want to. it may not be clear when you book your pharmacy appointment which one you’ll be getting though.“

CDC in 2023: “Y’know, probably the vaccine you already got is fine. Unless you are in an at-risk population you probably don’t have to worry about it. These new ones that are coming out are tuned for an out-of-date strain that’s not circulating anyway.”
