You do NOT want money to have intrinsic value. It should only be a financial asset.
One day that house that makes up the majority of people’s net worth may not seem valuable to anyone, not just because of de-gentrification in big cities, or weathering, or the outdated design and plumbing, or inexplicable rising costs and mortgage rates. But because you can’t move that property.
It takes months to find buyers, hire inspectors, go through negotiations, pay fees to realtors, etc. Why is it hard to sell? Buyers need to see the intrinsic value to justify paying the massive premium on junk houses. #HFSP
For the record, #btc has intrinsic value, but not in the way dumb money (regular people) can understand.
Today I went to the #Apple store and an employee gave me a no bs run through of which apple products were needed with a new iPhone. Made me actually trust the company for once.
Every week there’s some new dumb trend sweeping the internet. Some last one week, then we move to the next. Others last for months. And the longer they last, the better they are at distracting you.
Meanwhile Elon Musk gave the 2nd most important tech unveil last week with the robo taxis and humanoid robots, and this weekend he successfully landed the largest flying object in history. This is the type of stuff we should obsess over.

The most important thing Elon Musk said tonight at the #tesla event is that we are shifting to a world of incredible abundance. People can’t comprehend that technology is naturally deflationary because our money is oddly inflationary.
Scarcity is the counterweight to this abundant society to keep the world in balance. #bitcoin is the only scarcity on earth, and cannot be ignored.
@JCHCG has paved the way to explain deflationary systems, only in a world where #btc is the dominant money.
Mother of god that #tesla announcement tonight will be one of the most famous technology unveilings of all time.
This and the first iPhone reveal will go down in history.

I wholeheartedly disagree when people say it’s wasting money to buy #coffee from a cafe every day.
Tldr:
Coffee from out is not a waste of money. If you disagree, you’re broke and need #bitcoin.
Here’s why:
1. If you drink coffee daily at home, you’re still spending ~$2 to make it. If coffee out costs $3-5, you’re marginally spending more money, but not a lot. Annual cost would be a few hundred dollars more, especially if you aren’t getting mocha caramel frappacrap.
2. Getting outside is healthy and you get to be around people who are excited to drink coffee. It’s a social experience, even if you are just picking it up. You can also work from the cafe which has some weird ability to give you superpowers.
3. Coffee makes you very productive. Coffee from cafes not only tastes better, it is also stronger. The bigger boost of caffeine should make you more productive, more successful, and happier.

Re supply chain and Coldcard… if you buy them as separate batches the supply chain risk goes away, however, it is known where all your devices came from. I think Coldcard deletes user purchase data after 90 or so.
You know it was a good VP debate because normal people found in ‘normal’.
I thought it was interesting to hear nuance policy direction, agreement when required, and no emotional attacks.

I don’t like putting a number of #bitcoin on it because everyone has different income, liquid wealth, age, etc.
It should be based on percentage of net worth. I think at least 50% of your wealth is typical for bitcoiners at this point, but as bitcoin experiences fiat growth, the number will forcibly grow.
#Blackrock had a figure of 84.9% allocation to #btc on some leaked report. Sounds accurate for the average person when bitcoin enters the millions of dollars.
That’s a more reasonable approach as well. Having bitcoin is enough, but we’re greedy creatures, and you can never have enough of something scarce that stores your time.
The only thing I learned from my MBA is the “leaders” of tomorrow are wildly unprepared for the future. They are taught how to be innovative within the confines of the existing system and it stops there.

I firmly believe that if we fixed the food about half of the country’s problems would be solved. But I also fear for his safety. He’s not just going after Big Food. That’s just the head of the beast comprising:
1. Big Labor (or cheap labor) which is connected to immigration.
2. Big Phrama which “treats” the medical conditions from Big Food. 3. Big Insurance that helps pay Big Phrama.
4. Big Entertainment (TVs, smartphones, social media, furniture, etc.) that keep the sick people “comfy” while they slowly die out from Big Pharma.
If Trump wins, there will be a targeted information war to bring down #RFK. Hopefully we can enforce this movement and draw attention to his cause.

Another #privacy focused inquiry:
Does a "Privacy Rating Index" exist?
The "Privacy Rating Index" would work like grammarly where you plug in text, or it reviews it as it's typed. And it highlights specific words, phrases, and grammar that would dox your age, religion, location, etc.
For example, if someone is American, they would spell the word "color" without the "u" indicating they are an english speaker and likely did not learn British english.
Or if someone says a particular slang phrase like "I'm going up the apples" the British audience may assume the person is from Cockney, which lessons privacy further.
Or calling it "pot"... only Boomers and ironic millennials would use such a word.
For words like "Color" vs "Colour" which lack a neutral format, there could be suggestions for a different word, or a forced neutral, e.g. "xcolor". Not trying to do any Newspeak here, but the goal is for privacy.

Any time I see a #GM, #GN, #sunrise, or #sunset post, I think to myself that person just exposed their timezone, through which their general location could also be approximated.
I wonder if a technology could exist that would publicly sync user posts to each individual viewer's location. This OPTIONAL solution would require the poster to choose a so-called "Flex Timezone" posting option.
E.g.
I live in UTC+42069, but I want my posts to show up at the same time relative to the viewer, or even if there is an option for X number of hour delay.
I.e.
I post GM at 8am my time, and a viewer 3 hours behind does not see the post at 5am their time, but instead at 8am their time (11am my time).
Ideally there would be a public facing "Flex Timezone" watermark to signal an intentional post privacy as to not cause confusion to the viewer.
This should translate to some sort of Zero Knowledge Timezone (ZKTZ) solution.

Gonna try to use “#bitcoin” lower case when referring to the asset and “Bitcoin” uppercase when referring to the network since this is technically correct.
I don't think people appreciate the extent of @saylor's philanthropy activities.
If he was a selfish billionaire, he would quietly tell his friends and colleagues about #bitcoin and the financial sector would transform under our nose.
Instead, he is going on Bitcoin podcasts and to various Bitcoin events, not to promote #microstrategy, but to tell us, the #plebs, that we need to buy as much #btc as possible to front run the institutions and governments of the world so we come out on top.
@saylor openly believes the dollar will not go away, and he openly declared he does not want to get into contention with the US Government's currency. That's why he brands #Bitcoin as property.
I think he makes a reasonable point with the "too big to fail" and "risk free return" concepts. Bitcoiners don't want to wrap their head around Bitcoin being used in TradFi, but there will be an enormous amount of financial products developed around Bitcoin.
Given how the world works, and how it will likely go in the next 20 years, I think he's generally correct.
My greater concern is if US financial companies gain access to a massive amount of Bitcoin channeled through their financial instruments, and something goes wrong, it's the perfect excuse for the US to enforce a hard fork which would kill self-custody and alter the dynamics of the Bitcoin network, i.e. once the glass is shattered, it will never be the same again.

That's a helpful explanation. Beyond having Ethereum integrated as part of the plumbing, it seems the entire Farcaster model is emblematic of non-#bitcoin assets, by being more centralized.
That’s if it’s evenly distributed. But obviously the population will grow, millions of coins are lost, and most people with 1 #bitcoin have more than 1 #btc
Currently ~300k parties hold >1 bitcoin, and I expect this increases to 1 million parties, but the parties concentrate as companies and governments.
