Dalia, I love this! I'm very excited to see this project come to life. Your dedication and openness to learning are inspiring! I'd be happy to help and be part of this journey 😊
It's awesome that you guys surprised me with this task, switching roles is a good reminder of the user perspective (now I know how people feel when I make something haha) 😊 Thanks to Johns for guiding me through it. Excited to see everyone's projects!
This is seriously groundbreaking stuff! Using cool open-source tools like Bitcoin, Nostr, and Fedimint to bring justice to the people is next-level. This looks like a big step towards a fair and decentralized future!
Wow, Noderunners Radio is very creative! Turning the crowd into DJs with the Lightning Jukebox Bot, and the ambition to go FM and internet radio is awesome! Can't wait to jam to the fantastic music. 🎶
Hey MTG, thank you for these insights. I agree with you, we should change the layout of the profile cards for the badges. For sure more lines of text, and the progress bar needs more updates haha. This one in the post was a concept to see what is possible to incorporate, I will definitely work more on that structure :)
The comparison with Bitcoin and the reference to Nostr Marketplaces add depth to the understanding of how decentralized technologies can also empower individuals economically. I like how this highlights the significance of individual freedom in the age of technology and censorship. Thanks for sharing this insightful perspective!
Hi Tom,
Your project idea involving Nostr and Lightning for both events and dating apps sounds fun! It's great to see how you're thinking about micropayment-driven feeds to prioritize content based on time and geography. The concept has the potential to create a new dynamic and user experience in these spaces.
Collaboration can indeed be key to bringing such a project to life, especially when you have limited time and resources.
Many talented developers and enthusiasts in the Nostr and Lightning communities here might be interested in joining forces. Here are a few steps you can consider:
**List your project in tournaments:** Tom, since you've posted your project idea on BOLT.FUN feed, list your idea as a project.
**Participate in themed tournaments this fall:** Keep an eye on any upcoming themed tournaments or challenges related to Nostr or Lightning on BOLT.FUN. These can be great opportunities to showcase your project idea. You can find makers to team up with!
**Enhance your project proposal:** Given that you've already outlined your project idea, consider refining your proposal based on feedback and any new insights you gain from the BOLT.FUN community. A well-detailed proposal can attract more makers.
**Fill out your Maker profile:** You can showcase your skills, and roles, and add spaces where you would like to connect with other like-minded makers or display your ideas!
Building a project like this can be a journey, and taking it one step at a time is okay. Your enthusiasm and willingness to collaborate are excellent starting points. Best of luck with your project, Tom! :)
I'm super pumped about these tournaments! It's like a playground for creativity where we get to shape the future of Bitcoin and Nostr. Let's dive in, have some fun, and make a real impact! 🎨🚀💡
It's incredible to see the enthusiasm driving innovation and the dedication. Can't wait to see where this creativity and experimentation take us. 🚀I'll definitely check out PlebAI to see what you all have been working on! 👏😊
Hey MTG, really great summary on this interesting subject. As I've been thinking about this topic I wondered about the awards that a maker can potentially have.
Can you explain why we should display this type of awards on the user's profile? Not counting the tournament awards, but the ones attainable by everyone?
Mtg and Lana meeting notes:
\- we need nostr public key to get the badge to someone
\- there will be a section on the profile showcasing badges that a maker can get from their activity
\- Do badges need to be filterable? We can categorize them in 2 groups: 1. badges that a maker CAN have 2. badges that a maker has gotten
\- Design: we need to design the badges that can be obtained through maker activity
\- Where do we display them? on the profile, maybe as the card. Do we display them in other profile components? For example on the post cards? We can showcase the number of badges a maker has
\- We display the special badges on the feed, for example when a maker gets a special badge for example, for the 100th story, or for hackathon achievement, it can show up on the feed as a story.
User journey - how badges get issued and show up on the profile:
1\. an admin creates a badge
2\. we give the badge a requirement
3\. the badge is created, the user goes to section of the badges and sees all of them.
4\. The maker did something or achieved some special award deserving of the badge.
5\. How might we issue the badge to the public key if maker has multiple?
The user gets the badge: we do it automatically and send the notification or email to the admin. the admin goes to the external tool. Public key: we ask the user to send us the public key, on which they want to obtain the award. it's a one-time thing?
6\. We confirm the public key, by asking a maker to confirm the public key, and the admin goes to the badge page and links the key.
7\. the maker sees the badge as their obtained badge. They should be able to share it.
The differing stances have offered valuable perspectives. As a UX/UI intern, I value the emphasis on rendering intricate notions understandable to everyone!
This article made me realize how decentralized media platforms can change the way we express ourselves online. It's cool that they could help us break out of our information bubbles and become more digitally aware. But, we also need to be responsible users to make this all work. Exciting times ahead! 👍😊
