@c531994e the 1st time we did the loop around Sisters my husband got sick about 14 miles out. Similar to your symptoms except with high fever. He didn’t get better by morning so slowly walked out. We came back the next year with extended days and had a fabulous experience. Theres no shame in turning around. Take good care of yourself Andrew. I do hope you are feeling better.
New dusting of snow on Mt Thielson. I’m proud to say I up scrambled the side of that mountain and stood on the peak! It was my first climb. Today my mountain hikes are more vicarious. The Mt. Thielsen Wilderness encompasses 54,914 acres and runs along the crest of the Cascades 80 miles east of Roseburg and just north of Crater Lake National Park. Elevations range from 5,000 feet to the 9,182 feet summit of Mt. Thielsen. Born of the same volcanic activity that created Crater Lake.
