@662bd95c I haven't seen much Blue MAGA stuff here. Those sort of things seem to disappear into the void on Mastodon. But yeah, it's trying to suppress votes via the disenchantment route. It's a normal thing, saying your opponent is not that great after all. But the vitriol and lies to back up the blue MAGA is similar to the attacks on Hillary in 2016 and the thirty years prior.

 @f884fa2b as an outsider, it looked to me like brexit was a backlash against migrants in the first place. All the arguments for brexit had the same look and feel to me as the anti-migrant racist arguments in the USA, and as what we heard from parts of eastern Europe when the Syrian refugees arrived.

 @f884fa2b Bannon is really being revealed as the architect of the new Republican party, sort of the their Thomas Jefferson figure. He's happy for large chunks of traditional Republicans to leave the party. After McCain and Romney lost, the ultra-right said they didn't want to start a new party, they would just take over the Republicans. And they did. #conservatives #Republicans
