Does anyone else ever get a really specific type of anxiety, where you struggle to sleep because you feel like something bad will happen when you wake up?

For me, I think it's from being blindsided by things one too many times. Like if I let it all drop so I can sleep, it's going to fall apart.

Idk, it's weird. My brain is weird. 

 I'm in such a reading rut. 

Nothing new or old is just right. 

I really want a cute romance (preferably Regency, Victorian or general historical fiction).

I don't want smexi scenes. I don't want characters fueled by hormones. I WANT ROMANCE, not lust. 

Gimme that brush of a hand. That witty banter. The emotional connection.

Why is this so difficult?

Read some Mimi Matthews lately, that was lovely. More of that.

 My son's surgery is rapidly approaching. My plan is to spend a bit extra on groceries the next few weeks and put some up in the freezer. Then we have good, homemade food available easily for when we're both tired. (Caregiving is exhausting!)

On the list:
* pizza (with homemade dough and sauce)
* spanikopita chicken meatballs
* dahl and naan

Would love to hear your favorite freezer recipes! (no soup, beef, or pork, and they need to be non-dairy adaptable pls)

My incredible son is going in for top surgery in a month (pushed back from original date). Insurance covers the surgery, but not the extras. Things like gauze, medical tape, etc. And then there are nice to have things like a good support pillow, some treats, and $ for easy takeout to give me a break.

 Jeebus making friends is so hard.

I am so, so very bad at it. 

 Today's adventure is going to be making some button up tops for my son to wear after his top surgery.

Fabric is currently in the wash, next step is tracing out the pattern from the master sheet into his new size.

My main job today, now that the cutting table has been cleared, is to make sure that the sewing machine table is ALSO cleared.

And testing the cover-stitch machine, it's been a min.
