📱 Improvements to Signal video calls

Signal has recently shown a new feature for its users:
You won't have to group someone up to join the call.

This makes it much easier to make video calls without having to go through what happens to many people: They get rid of dozens of groups that they only use once or every very long time.

And what's so special about it?
In my opinion, it could make development easier so that you can talk to anyone, whether they have Signal or not.
This is something that is not currently there and could make Signal a more widely used app, which I very much wish for.

Other news (Less relevant):
· Raise hand button
· Emoji reactions
· Tab dedicated to calls
· More display options
· Updated call settings
🗺 Map of cameras monitoring your car | DeFlock

During a trip from Washington to Alabama, Will Freeman began noticing all the cameras he was driving around in, and upon investigation discovered they were automatic license plate readers (ALPRs), primarily used by police.

In Huntsville, Freeman noticed these cameras forming a ring around the city center, leading him to start DeFlock on Open Street Map to map license plate surveillance camera locations around the world to determine their location and address.

To date, DeFlock has identified more than 1,700 cameras in the United States and more than 5,600 worldwide.

The project also aims to offer navigation routes that allow drivers to avoid these cameras, although it also indicates that in some places this is impossible. Which makes DeFlocks a fundamental tool to highlight this and try to find options.

Open source project DeFlock is mapping the locations of license plate surveillance cameras around the world.

 💸 Bitcoin taking off

#Bitcoin has recently seen its price in dollars increase by 18.7% in the last week

Everyone assumes that following the results of the US elections

It could be, but remember that whoever has bought Bitcoin has not been able to lose.

The asset that makes you sovereign over your money, that you can transfer without borders or asking for permission, that you don't need permission to use... It's stronger than ever and everything indicates that it will be like that

📱 Apple rewards for privacy failures

In order to defend the security and privacy of its new "Apple Intelligence" system (Private Cloud Computing), those from Cupertino are offering from $50,000 to $1,000,000 for those who find privacy flaws.

"Because we care deeply about any compromise to user privacy or security, we will consider any security issue that has a significant impact to PCC for an Apple Security Bounty reward, even if it doesn't fit into a published category."

A good way to encourage the search for gaps in the system that may end up being more than just a mistake

Let me analyze the potential impact on #Bitcoin 's price if USDT fails:

Immediate Impact:
- Severe downward pressure, likely causing a sharp crash
- Historical precedent: When smaller stablecoins like UST failed, #BTC dropped ~40%
- USDT's failure would be far more impactful as it represents the largest stablecoin market cap
- Massive forced liquidations of leveraged positions would amplify the crash
- Potential for cascading margin calls across exchanges

Short-term Effects:
- Trading volume would drop significantly as USDT pairs account for major BTC liquidity
- Panic selling as traders try to exit positions
- Reduced ability to arbitrage between exchanges
- Price discovery becomes more difficult
- Wider bid-ask spreads due to reduced liquidity

Medium-term Recovery Factors:
- Bitcoin could actually benefit long-term as a "flight to quality"
- Some USDT holders might rush to convert to BTC as a safe haven
- Market could shift to alternative trading pairs (USD, USDC, EUR)
- Historical resilience: BTC has recovered from previous market shocks

The severity would largely depend on:
1. How suddenly USDT fails
2. Whether the failure is partial or complete
3. The state of broader market conditions
4. How quickly alternative trading pairs can absorb volume

🏦 The European Central Bank doesn't like Bitcoin

New ECB paper claims early adopters of #bitcoin policies steal economic value from later adopters

This could "facilitate" the excuse for new taxes on Bitcoin or even bans (something that in some cases would be impossible to do).

In addition, there is a constant demand for regulation: "to prevent Bitcoin prices from rising or to see Bitcoin disappear completely" or even claim that it could lead to "the division of society."

It is also said that there will be few left for newcomers (Is it the only asset that can be revalued because there are limited units? xd)

Tuur Demeester, who has spoken about this, says the following:

And no, this will not be a war between the haves and the have-nots. Rather, it will be a historic clash between those who defend the natural rights of the individual and those who cling to the failed ideologies of collectivism and central planning.

 6 Headphones with AI Technologies🎶

Currently, neural networks are mainly trusted to improve hearing, but other interesting options are already appearing.

🔔 The Buds N1 from Realme uses AI to suppress noise during calls using the DNN algorithm for clear sound.

🔔 The microphone system in Huawei's FreeClip also works in tandem with a DNN algorithm that distinguishes voice from ambient noise.

🔔 The Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro features both AI noise cancellation and direct translation for real-time foreign language conversations, all powered by Galaxy AI.

🔔 Google designed its Pixel Buds Pro 2 specifically for Gemini. The model here is in the form of an AI assistant for all jacks of all trades: find the way, remind you about your plans, recommend music. With Gemini Live, you can simply talk about any topic.

🔔 Sony offers its INZONE “ears” for gamers. AI ensures that the player’s voice is clearly audible here.

🔔 Optimal voice capture for maximum speech intelligibility is provided by ML algorithms in Beats Studio Buds
You should also avoid buying phones preloaded with /e/ OS (sometimes branded as the Murena phones). /e/ OS in itself is extremely insecure, engaging in security bad practices that include, but are not limited to, not supporting verified boot; shipping userdebug build; shipping months-old version of Chromium; and bundling years-old version of Orbot into their operating system, then marketing it as “Advanced Privacy”. There was also a recent incident where their cloud service mishandled session keys and gave users access to other’s files, then proceeded to mislead users that the server cannot see their files, despite there being no end-to-end encryption.

You should also be very wary of low quality privacy branded phones like the Freedom Phone, BraX2 Phone, Volta Phone, and the like. These are cheap Chinese phones with the Mediatek Helio P60 from 2018, which has already reached or is near end-of-life. Needless to say, you should also avoid any vendor...

📱 Android 15 is starting to roll out and these are its main privacy and security improvements:

🔴 Screen Recording: You can now record a specific app, making it so that other things like notifications appear in the recording.

🫣 Private Space : You can hide applications and access them that require authentication, for example by biometrics

✋ Pause recording : Applications will know if they are being recorded and for example display warnings and/or hide information

🧑‍💻 Type-C Connection : When you connect your phone to a computer you can choose whether you just want to charge it, transfer files... Now to change modes you will have to identify yourself by biometrics, pin, pattern etc...

It is already being rolled out for Pixels and some other devices, it is expected to be available for GrapheneOS in a few hours and it is just a matter of time before other manufacturers adapt the update so that it begins to be implemented on other devices.
📱 Goodbye uBlock Origin in Google Chrome

If you still use Google's browser, Chrome, you have even more problems

Google has removed uBlock Origin from its extension store, the Chrome Web Store

This is due to Manifest V3, the new specification for Chrome extensions that Google has released.
If for some reason you need to use Chrome, you should know that you can use the Lite version of uBlock Origin: "uBlock Origin Lite", it is not as effective as it must adapt to Manivest V3

Other Chromium-based browsers are not affected if they do not adopt this.

Brave for example says the following in X:
Can't use your favorite ad blocker on Chrome anymore? Switch to Brave.

Our browser's built-in ad blocker is completely unaffected by Google's latest changes to extensions.

In others like Mullvad Browser or LibreWolf it will work without problems too.

Voice, route, driving style: what else does your car know about you?

The Australian organization CHOICE conducted a study, which revealed that 7 out of 10 popular car brands in the country, including Toyota, Ford, MG, Kia, Hyundai, Tesla, collect and transfer personal data of drivers to third parties. This raises concerns about the protection of the privacy of car owners. Many owners are unaware of the extent of data collection, and disabling related features can deprive them of important car capabilities. Experts note that legislation in Australia lags in data protection issues and call for reforms to better meet customer expectations.

 This is mind-blowing.

The same chemical Alex Jones warned was "turning the frogs gay" is destroying testosterone levels in the U.S. population.

Adding insult to injury, this testosterone-depleting chemical is banned across Europe but not the United States.

The chemical is atrazine.

What is atrazine, and how does it do this? Atrazine is a widely-used herbicide sprayed on crops like corn and sugarcane to control weeds.

It disrupts hormone function by increasing the activity of an enzyme called aromatase, which converts testosterone into estrogen.

In men, this can contribute to conditions like decreased muscle mass, low libido, and even feminization.

And we spray 70 million pounds of this tasteless, odorless, chemical on our food, while it's illegal to do so in Europe.

Make it make sense.

You're unhappy as long as you seek validation from others—whether it's about how much money you've made or the lifestyle you’re living.

In doing so, you transfer your mental stress onto those validating you.

They now want the same life, but 99% of them won’t achieve it.

Worse, they’re not willing to put in the effort because you've made it look easy.

People love success stories but ignore the context.

Most internet success comes from luck or obsessive focus on making money.

The truly successful never show off; they don’t care about validation.

YouTube Starts Shadowbanning Accounts for Using VPN ❌

Shadowbanning results in content being unavailable when trying to watch a video .

These restrictions apply to both the web version and mobile apps , but the platform makes no official statements about this .

Experts associate this measure with the fight against the manipulation of paid views . 🤷🏼‍♀️

Technical problems have been observed since August , and support volunteers warn that the ban is not expected to be lifted.

I think we make a hell of a case in the film, and I think that who we land on is unexpected and is going to result in a fair amount of controversy. I think that people are going to debate it regardless of how strong of a case we made, and that’s fine. That’s the nature of this space. We had a lot more evidence than we were able to include in the film.

But it’s going to be up to the audience—how they view the case, how they view the evidence, and whether or not they’re convinced.

🌐🔐 Personal data protection during investigations for OSINT specialist.

Part 1 - Traffic tunneling.

Traffic tunneling in the context of data protection is necessary to hide the real IP address of your computer and many other network data about your connection + in our case it is also necessary to encrypt traffic from the Internet provider and everyone who is "sitting on the wire".

📡 We will need a VPN + VPN bundle.

❓ Why not just VPN?
By means of a request to the provider/SORM - it is possible to obtain data about who was connected to this IP address (VPN) at that time and in response to this request you will be given away, and you will not even have to request data from the VPN itself or the data center where this VPN is located - deanonymization will occur bypassing this.

Why not links with anonymizers like TOR? (VPN + TOR, VPN + Lokinet, VPN + i2p, etc.).

1. Such connections often provide low connection speeds , which is not suitable for online investigations.

2. Such anonymizers (TOR, i2p, Lokinet) often have a "dirty" IP address - therefore, with such an IP address, it will be impossible to register accounts for investigations, and sometimes you will not even be able to simply access a website with such IP addresses.

3. Doubtful privacy of transmitted data - often the output nodes of such anonymizers are monitored for the purpose of intercepting data/deanonymization/theft of cryptocurrency, etc. Accordingly, the fact that you are digging on someone may become known to someone else.

So, we have decided on the type of protection.

Let's move on.

⚙ How to set up?
There are 2 options:
1. Special clients of VPN services that have a double VPN function.
For example, the VPN provider iVPN has the ability to enable double VPN mode directly from the official client.
2. 1 VPN on the host - 2 VPN on the virtual machine for work.

⁉️ How to use?
Each investigation has its own IP address.
You can't use the same IP address for different investigations - otherwise the investigations can be linked together and it will be easy to understand that the same person is behind them all.

⛓‍💥 Killswitch is a function that if the VPN is turned off, then the entire Internet on the computer is turned off. The Internet bypassing the VPN does not work. Be sure to enable this function in your VPN client (iVPN also has this function).

Before starting the investigation, visit the site - https://browserleaks.com it will show how your computer looks from the site. There you can check the IP address (so that it is from the second VPN) and check some device fingerprints. This is necessary for a check before the investigation - so as not to forget to turn on something.

🗺 New way to use maps

When talking about maps and computers, the truth is that it was enough to make you cry in terms of privacy.
All we had was the OpenStreetMap website, and yes, it worked but admittedly it wasn't particularly "attractive" in terms of interface.

📱 Telegram could give away your IP address

Recently, Pavel Durov, founder of Telegram, made some statements on his telegram channel as usual, but something stood out that caught people's attention:
We have made it clear that IP addresses and phone numbers of those who violate our rules may be disclosed to relevant authorities in response to valid legal requests.

In reference to Telegram's own terms and conditions.

He also points out:
Telegram Search is meant for finding friends and discovering news, not promoting illegal products. We won't let bad actors compromise the integrity of our platform

Many now argue that Telegram has therefore changed after the arrest of Pavel Durov.

The reality is that ANY COMPANY, and I repeat, any company you use will have to obey the rule of law.

And in the event of any legal request, your IP address and/or telephone number will be provided if applicable.

Although you can protect yourself with a good VPN /TOR and/or a temporary phone number.
There's been a lot of news related to anonymity this month.

The guys from the special services of different countries apparently came back from vacation and began to massively silence all those who were undesirable.

News about timing attacks on TOR, mass searches of exit node owners, official announcement that Telegram has started to give out data about its users and many other interesting news.

Well, anonymity is becoming more and more luxurious every year.

Yesterday you could write all sorts of, let's say, objectionable things from a TG account and remain anonymous.

Today you can install VirtualBox with Whonix and think that you have protected yourself very well, although in fact, under VirtualBox every second person has an exploit, and TOR users are not so difficult to deanonymize.

And tomorrow you will see in the news about hardware backdoors that send data somewhere and reflashing the device will not help you (Spoiler - this is already possible and even quite possibly actively works, just few people talk about it. Hello Intel ME and AMD PSP).

Anonymity is a luxury. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying to you or doesn't understand the subject.

To achieve a high level of anonymity on the network, you will need very good knowledge of information security, and very specific knowledge, which is usually not taught in educational institutions. You need to build a whole set of measures to counter attacks on your privacy, security and anonymity on the network.

The Invidious platform is an open-source, decentralized alternative YouTube interface and mirror that allows you to watch YouTube videos anonymously and without ads.

However, now when trying to play YouTube videos through Invidious, users encounter the error "This helps protect our community . "

We don't have any other solutions/fixes at this time. You can get Invidious to work on residential IPs (like at home), but Invidious will no longer work on data center IPs.

Imagine the life these Hezbollah guys will lead now.

Imagine peeing your pants, each time the toaster ejects the bread.
Necessity is the mother of invention. And you know who is even more cunning in invention? Various corporations that come up with methods of tracking you. I have already talked many times about the dangers of JavaScript and various technologies for creating a digital trace. It is created by browser extensions that track you, your screen resolution, your operating system time and much more.

But there are more exotic trackers. Although I thought that tracking through fonts would remain unrivaled. I have never been so wrong in my life. I present to you canvas tracking, namely the creation of a unique user trace through the canvas HTML markup tool, as strange as it may sound. This infection creates a separate folder for you and assigns a number so that all the sites you visited could identify you. And, what is fucking characteristic, without the use of cookies. At all!

How does it work? Let's start with the fact that canvas tracking is a synthesis of surveillance using hardware and software. Simply put, two computers with different hardware render the same image slightly differently. This is due to differences in image processing both due to hardware (different video cards and drivers for them) and software (the order in which the browser processes fonts and smooths them out), etc. In other words, it is a much more advanced technology. According to various sources, it is used by about 5.5% of popular websites on the Internet. But my heart tells me that it will continue to spread.

How to check yourself? Go to BrowserLeaks. Com and go to the corresponding section. If you do not use an anti-detect browser, you will find your unique signature there. By the way, Browser Leaks has a whole bunch of privacy checks, try them, I recommend.

How to protect yourself? Just block scripts. So be sure to use the right browser. The best ones are LibreWolf or Mullvad. I wrote about them earlier. The first one blocks all attempts to collect a fingerprint, and the second one replaces them with the standard fingerprint of the user of this browser. Be sure to go to the shield settings and make sure that you block scripts. And then this threat is no longer a threat to you.

Stay safe everyone!
📸 You could see your face in a Snapchat ad

Yes, that's right, Snapchat reserves the right to use AI-generated images of your face in ads.

This is indicated in the terms of service related to its "My Selfie" tool.

You would have to disable a feature in the app called "See my selfie in ads" which is on by default and obviously many won't even bother with it.

Snapchat itself states on its website that you should only upload images of yourself when using "My Selfie." But do you really think people won't do whatever they want?

📈 With such massive influence, Mark Zuckerberg and the US Deep State hold enormous sway over Indian public discourse — including censorship power.

Zuckerberg is looking purely at a profit motive, therefore he and the Deep State are a huge problem for society as a whole.
Successful, well earning individuals in their 30s are incredibly lonely.

 Bill Gates says the following:

"Digital identification will be necessary to defend against the dangers of disinformation."

"Most of the time you're online, you want to be in an environment where people are truly connected. That is, they're connected to a real-world identity that you trust, rather than just people saying whatever they want."

"I don't think you'll want to receive email from an anonymous source in the future, because what you see there could simply be designed to trick you."

They want you to believe that anonymity and privacy have some kind of relationship with lying or deception.

Don't those who lie and deceive the most do so openly?
Well, who else could earn more than AI startups - of course Onlyfans .

The company earned $6.4 billion in 2024 alone from its tireless users. The financial fortunes of the site's stars are compared to the wallets of professional NBA players, by the way, OF shares with its partners an even larger share of the profits than the jumpers with the ball - as much as 80 percent goes into the panties and stockings of content creators.

YouTube, for example, paid its entire huge family of influencers over $10 billion last year, which is only twice as much as all the naked people on Onlyfans got.

The question of what is worse - a son who is a TikToker or a daughter who is an OnlyFan, can be considered closed

and yes, onlyfans is more profitable than all IT startups combined

 👁Privacy doesn't matter to him...

Larry Ellison, the founder of the great Oracle company, seems to believe that privacy is not important, at least that is what his latest statements suggest:

"A surveillance system with police body cameras, cameras in cars and autonomous drones, all monitored by AI, will constantly record and report on police and citizens, helping everyone behave in the best possible way."

Who will be able to provide the infrastructure for such a gigantic task? Indeed, your company, Oracle.
Bhutan got 13,000 #Bitcoin through mining.

The US got 2,13,000 Bitcoin through the seizure.

Understand the difference!
"What’s so bad about Google having all my data?"

Imagine a neighbor of you knowing:

Where you live,

Every secret question you "google", that you wouldn't just ask a stranger,

All your photos, analyzed for child pornography, categorized, sorted. Including the location they were taken and the people they were taken with.

All your contacts, how often you call them, text them...

All the places you go, what places you search for, where you stay and when,

All your mails, scanned for content, analyzed (text is by far the easiest to scan)

All your payments, where you pay how much for what

All your other files, when you write something into spreadsheet, doc, private note or anything.

All apps you install, including menstruation trackers, vibrator apps, training apps idk. what else there could be you absolutely don't want Google to have access to.

Just think of some embarrassing websites you visited the past few days.

How your voice sounds, how you look like, when you are on your phone...

The list goes on.

Still don't care?

And Google doesn't keep the data to themselves. Think about it next time you use anything from Google.

"A society cannot evolve and become civilised without a spontaneously emergent moral and ethical code, absent of imposition of it by a higher power or an authority through violence or coercion. Those who live in a world where this order doesn't exist are simply unfortunate and will have to attempt to bring it about through argument, discourse, cooperation and reason.

It might seem inconceivable, difficult and nearly impossible, but it certainly is the right thing to do."
