It’s a year since InfoSec Twitter both collapsed and didn’t collapse.

Those who railed agai...
@f7d0478e Depends on your perspective, perhaps. I see myself as freer on mastodon and not so much a slave to the algorithm and "influencers” where followers matter.

Sure, we're all split up now, but in many ways that is a good thing. Let those folks that value those things go elsewhere, no judgment, just glad it is separate.

At some point, all the retweets and emotional posting have to come with action, or is it all just empty fluff and no one has any true convictions?
I feel like once I complete learning Common Lisp, my graybeard requirements will be fulfilled.

I’m assuming there's some BBS I get invited to by an elder graybeard, and I develop a fascination for even more niche computing... and perhaps whittling.
Hey nerds! What dead tech skills do you have?

Me?
- Solaris and IRIX administration.
- PalmOS, Xlib, and Motif programming.
- Perl (even though I love it, it is now niche and folks just don't care about it like they did, but hey, I can use it personally and do for pentesting and personal projects)
- grsecurity kernels and Trusted OS stuff (whatever happened to all that... just SELinux now? I mean in widespread adoption, it was really hot for a while)
- sendmail, printcap

Definitely forgetting things...
I like the @83211688 for macOS but it uses way too much RAM. Have to switch to something else :(
@b92dcc07 is right about things, it’s playing out right in front of our faces.

OK - looks like #CommonLisp it is then. I'm going to be *finally* learning the language for reals in the coming weeks and months!

And it will be #ChatGPT assisted!
