Boosting for the fediverse:
The City of Thibodaux experienced a rapid loss of water pressure yesterday, September 28, 2023, with the water line repair on Audubon Ave. As a precaution, everyone receiving City water is now under a BOIL ADVISORY, effective immediately. This BOIL ADVISORY is to remain in effect for at least 48 hours, as water samples are being collected to be sent to the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals for further testing. City officials said additional updates will be posted as they become available.

Meanwhile in my life, I figured out that the #Indigenous man recently shot at an action is someone I do know and have worked with when he came over to #Louisiana to organize in the past.
Please share and donate as possible! Jacob is an amazing, talented, and caring artist, organizer, and person who I have all the prayers up for!!!

From a friend:
"Have a scientist friend in the Riverbend who has been taking daily salinity readings from his tap. Salinity hovering near 300 mg/L since Sunday. Threshold for safe drinking water is 200."
Please be aware about the reality of the salt water wedge coming up the MS River. That is very much the source of the city tap water.
