@14c4c4f4 Thanks! I mostly picked them up from other wheelchair users on Tumblr 😛
@14c4c4f4 Thank you for the condolences though!
@14c4c4f4 and It does have some advantages though - I get to make loads of wheelchair jokes (e.g. "they see me rolling", "I always win at musical chairs", "I'm just in it for the parking", "my friends are always pushing me around and taking behind my back", etc.) - and occasional funny photo opportunities when I see pictures of other wheelchair users. For example, I was at a museum recently (The Science Museum in London) and saw this photo in an exhibition about medical technology, so I decided to try to match his pose lol.

@14c4c4f4 Luckily, it's been pretty manageable so far - the main issues I'm having are fatigue and breathlessness. The fatigue isn't bad enough (yet) to cause any serious problems, just means that I'm constantly feeling exhausted.

The breathlessness is a bigger problem as I can only walk for a few minutes without becoming completely out of breath and having to sit down. Hence the wheelchair in my profile picture - using my chair prevents me from getting out of breath, so that solves that problem!

saw a post on bsky saying the poster has noticed a huge portion of newcomers joining long covid p...
@14c4c4f4 For me, I think it was my second infection that really got me (despite taking precautions the whole time!).

I was showing mild long COVID symptoms after my initial infection (the first infection was really bad and had me pretty much bedbound for a week), but they suddenly got much worse after what I previously thought had only been a cold. I now suspect that the "cold" was actually a mild COVID infection, which massively aggravated my previously mild long COVID symptoms.
