What I find hard to get most people - even many women - to grasp is that refusing women the right to bodily autonomy is not about 'saving' any single baby.
It is about reducing 50% of the population to the status of brood mares.
If they had their way, every woman would be braindead and permanently pregnant.
This isn't about babies. This is about enslavement.

I hate the pseudo-darwinian stink that phrase 'resilient' has. Like if you're not resilient, you're in the wrong environment. Fuck that.
Now that I've been on Mastodon for almost a year, I did miss twitter at first.
But now, I really don't miss it at all. My timeline is a lovely blend of topics, from a wide variety of voices and parts of the world.
And I don't spend half my day angry and anxious. It is entirely possible to be aware of the bad things happening in the world, without living in a manic tidal pool of umbrage. #mastodon
So, if you've arrived here but still feel like it's a mostly empty room, may I suggest some strategies:
1. Follow a lot of people based on their content.
2. Search for old friends from twitter.
3. Proffer a topic of discussion, have a lively interchange, and follow everyone who engages with you.
Actually, I'm fed up to the teeth with anyone asking 'why' any of these evil motherfuckers do the things they do.
I don't actually care why. Because knowing why will not stop them.
The only thing that will stop them is relieving them of their money and their power.
