@494592e6 Thank you very much! I painted another such bovine beast last year that I've yet to make available as a print, though I don't think he's quite as colourful as this fella.
@494592e6 Thanks v much. A few things going on with my legs. Was doing physio for my knees (significant arthritis dating back 15 yrs) and also for the heel of one foot which has me limping for almost 2 yrs (Achilles tendinopathy - they ruled out plantar). Meanwhile the other ('good') foot is currently suffering my worst gout attack in years (or maybe something else) and has me unable to stand the last 5 days. So unfortunately not painting at the moment but hoping to resume as soon as I can walk.
Unable to walk for days now, the inconvenience of it all being as old as the pain probably. I can't even finish this post with a casual, "I'll go pour a cup of tea so". Tomorrow though, tomorrow will be different.
I don't usually do this, for fear of being spammy, but once upon an elsewhere time I used to do it frequently - because as my sole source of income for 11 months of the year I really am very grateful for such things. So thank you whoever it was who bought a tote bag of my Galway #painting of The Long Walk https://www.redbubble.com/i/tote-bag/The-Long-Walk-Galway-Ireland-by-eolai/9692187.A9G4R
Now I'll go back to not doing it. #MastoDaoine #art
@badbe92d I'm fine getting drowned on the way home - where I can change and happily dry, but it's the traipsing around the shop for the guts of an hour while wringing wet I'd like to avoid.
Japers, I don't mind rain at all but Met Eireann has rain forecast for every hour until some time on Monday - and that's after being non-stop from yesterday some time. Was kinda hoping for a dry dash on the bike to get the messages.
Making progress on a new painting - which has a very specific deadline. The progress is mostly being made in my head where I am furiously painting. Ideally in the next several days I'll then be able to hurl it out.
"Pearse's Cottage" Your evening #painting today is a scene in the west of #Ireland I keep returning to - on bicycle and in paint. Rosmuc, and the cottage that was Patrick Pearse's summer gaf for 12 yrs. On a small raised area overlooking a lake it gives good views of the Maamturks. Not sure I'm mad on the location of the visitor centre that's now beside it, even if I do like the actual building, but we'll live. #Art #Cycling

@30c6b548 Aside from the temperature the limited colour range would help me establish the values the way a plain white canvas wouldn't, and then because they're warm colours I try to use them to warm what's going to be a cooler final painting.
@30c6b548 Thanks. I didn't go to art school myself so I don't have much academic knowledge. Even in ordinary school I received no teaching, so everything I've picked up is self-taught from experience, from friends who are artists, and from a million videos and books where I compared what I was doing with how others describe or do things.
