I went to a hydroponics store today. I have been gardening and starting my own plants for years, but still seem to not know what I'm doing. TIL that for starting seeds, you need white light, not red & blue - those are for flowering. Who knew?! Why do the folks in my #gardening groups all seem to use r & b lights? Was also told, contrary to what I've heard before, that you can't just put grow bulbs into ordinary light fixtures, except for T5s, but that those need to be replaced annually. (!!)
@40ceb4c5 Yes I saw the caption. I just really didn't recognize him - it's the lack of glasses, and also, how hard I try to generally avoid any mention or thought of him. 😂 Guess I just hadn't seen a picture of him in a while.
@40ceb4c5@cc5f5990 YES!!! It's one of my favourite things about the Calgary zoo - if I lived in Calgary, I'd buy an annual pass just to go hang out with the butterflies in winter. And it's along the C-train line! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE something similar in Edmonton.
@b345c2da@c444654e@b541bfe5 Damn now I'm super confused. I thought the whole thing with BEDMAS was that it didn't matter if the division or multiplication came first, but this makes it look like it does. I must be forgetting something.
@b541bfe5 Some might even suggest it's punishment for not keeping your kids home and raising them yourself. (Based on comments I've seen elsewhere...😬)
