Trying to figure out what a luxury belief is. The only one I can think of is the idea that we can leave our neighbouring trading bloc, and all of the influence and leverage that comes with it, and it not affect you because you’re a hedge fund manager and you profit either way.
After 13 years of class war being waged against the poorest in society under the guise of austerity, a rebalancing would be welcome quite frankly. But if you follow The Times’ logic, this is only going to affect the struggling middle classes not the people at the top. I don’t think “class war” means what they think it means

@b5820e93 it could be that. I also think that Star Trek discourse was disproportionately dominated by a certain kind of male fan during the 80s. The kind that would have been cheerleaders for that Sad Puppies thing a few years ago. Certain aspects of the way Roddenberry cultivated fans may have contributed to that unintentionally.
