 Very happy our paper “No Research on a Dead Planet” is out today (free access). Aaron Thierry is very much the lead author, but it’s been great to work together on this and tackle the question: Why do #Universities, with many having declared a #ClimateEmergency, still largely continue with #BusinessAsUsual? For us it’s about #CognitiveDissonance as well as the structures of neoliberal #HE. We need to change & lead on true #ClimateAction. @4cca73cb

Today is also Week 1 of my Anthropology and Environment module. My heart goes out to my,all, children and students, having to make their way in this world. I have never had that much time for Conservative environmentalism but its disaffection with #Tories is real: the realisation that Conservatives are not conserving anything [other than their own class/personal interests]

The answer is staring us in the face” by #GordonBrown just now ( ❤️ paper version = catch up) and really would like to spread  his message: we need a global #WindfallTax on #PetrolProfits. This needs to be the tangible outcome of #COP28 we should all campaign for.  Put so well here by Gordon Brown. #aclimateEmergency

i’ve intensely struggled with too much flying these last few weeks; to be honest it’s really thrown me, i feel i can’t say anything to anyone anymore. Not sure whether it will help but I look forward to reading this; and it’s so nice that my mother is trying to engage.
