For self hosting, this podcast: https://selfhosted.show.
I have yet to actually listen to their podcast, but their show notes usually have something interesting.
Am I the only one who has a hard time committing to new shows nowadays? The fear shows will get canceled makes me not want to invest till a show ends.
But…I watched Shogun anyway. I’m glad I did.
Compared to Samsung, Google spends little promoting Pixel phones. Plus, at least in the US, people still buy most of their phones through carriers. Google needs to push and incentivize them to sell their phones.
If Google doesn’t push hard to sell the phones, why would case makers and sellers stock them?
Pensions might be part of it, but most teachers I’ve met just care more than the average person.
I wonder if it’s like artists who continue to perform live. If it goes well, that rush of joy is like nothing else and you keep going back for more.
Simple experiment. Ask the men in your family how many times and how often they get harassed and then ask the women.
This has nothing to do with fragility or being mentally strong.
Ok, so you have no empathy. No judgement. Just observation.
Is it possible that not all bullies run away? That bullies may bring along more bullies? Is it possible that sometimes a person cannot fight back?
This isn’t elementary school. Out in the real word people and groups can be outmatched. Asking for help isn’t a crime.
None of your answers address my first question. Ask your female family members (or any females) how often they get harassed. Then ask any males. See if there is a difference. If there is a difference, maybe we should ask why. Then maybe we should ask what we can do about it.
While a community is being built, there are lots of people already being harassed. What happens to them? How are they supposed to deal with it?
And that’s assuming it is a community that will support them. What if it’s not?
I like this plan. Let everyone being harassed or who might be harassed know that you will be their defender. Or tell them they need to build a community to have their back. This will definitely solve the issues. You are right bro, it’s not hard at all.
Sorry, I don’t have notifications turned on and I’m not constantly on nostr checking for replies so I can immediately respond. My bad.
My perspective is there are lots of experiences, and hear me out, it’s possible that we need different tools to address them. Building such tools does not mean censorship.
There are plenty of bad things that happen to communities from the outside. The solution is not always the community can handle it. Is that out of the realm of possibility?
Of course no wants to do it this way, but it may be necessary for some. If that is not acceptable, that’s fine, but we need to realize this space may be open to everyone but it’s not usable for everyone.
Guess I should say something more…
I do watch quite a bit of sports, mostly basketball, some football (US), a bit of soccer now and then.
Use open source as much as a I can, but I still love my Apple products.
I watch too much TV. Sometimes I get sucked into reality shows like The Real Housewives of New Jersey when my partner watches it. Prostitution whore!
#introductions
Ok, finally signed up.
One question: is there a way to filter out specific keywords? Like I want to hide/mute anything with #Bitcoin in it.
I’m already sold on Bitcoin, I don’t need to see all the posts promoting it.
