Obviously
But let's talk real quick about Knives Chau and the age of consent and how the entire subplot about the morality of anybody dating her is completely ridiculous
Knives Chau is 17 (and turns 18 in volume 6 meaning that for the entire story she is very nearly 18 to begin with). The age of consent in the state of Ontario is 16, meaning Knives can consent
Also aside from the arbitrary morals of all of this there's even the double standard over men being predators but not women present
In the comic, Kim Pine kisses Knives and I don't ever see anybody who talks about the supposed unethical nature of Scott being in his 20s and dating a 17 year old talk about the fact that Kim straight up kisses the girl, no fans ever claim she committed CSA but they call Scott a pedo (which being attracted to someone who is very nearly 18 is not)
Anyway, there's two morals to this: the first is Canada is weird and the second is abolish the age of consent
Him: "I think you should do it."
Me: "Do what?"
Him: "Whatever just went through your mind right now."
Well considering I had just finished cooking a school lunch, there's kids in my mind... so I'm glad he supports me doing them :cl2:
This man just told me "Always listen to your intrusive thoughts, they are your truest self."
@roxymaxxing gal my love for little girls isn't completely pure and I shouldn't have to pretend it is to be accepted by society
I know it's an uphill battle but I don't believe it's sisyphisian, and I'm sick of seeing the "plain" maps casually deligitimize other paraphiles because they don't hold our orientations to the same pinnacle as their own
Presenting child love as this pure and wholesome natural thing isn't gonna win you the favors you think it will
Antis think we're all freaks and rapists and wanting to create an other out of the "weird" ones and distance yourself is hypocritical and shallow
A map is a map. They don't give a shit if your sexual inclinations, whether children are involved or not, are "not weird" THEY DON'T CARE. And you know what? NEITHER DO I
This is a vaguepost because it isn't directed solely at one individual but rather a school of thought that reeks of exclusionism and begrudging alliances
