 Arstechnia confidently stating that Arch isn't used in production systems.

Lololololol. I think they're underestimating Arch users.
 Asked for tomorrow morning off work so I can do things. Problem is that I can work the first few hours then a couple of hours off to do shit then back in the afternoon.

Presenteism from 10-2 is bullshit as long as the work gets done, especially in my line of work when there's no meetings that need to be done.
 @45268449 Do you like Fear Factory?
 ARGH! She's eaten all the chocolate.
 Bah. The .us registrars are no fun at all.
 Calon Lân is such an awesome song.
 Of course it's Friday 13th.
 Turkish Restaurant for wife's birthday later. Menu looks a bit off alright.
 Just to pre-empt some comments (My money is on Dale) that doesn't mean we're going out for ten pints and a kebab. It's a proper restaurant.
 Flour, salt, pepper and milk to make a dough- frying pan to cook and breakfast bread in 15min at ...
 @2eea00d0 Because fried bread only takes about two minutes and it's far easier?
 Can't wait until this time in 2024 when everyone's realised that AI has gone the way of NFTs and everyone's realised it's useless.
 nostr:npub16jupxu70nh0pg0wt4maseaf2fg3kv2tgcjal2kaaunms2ltdaxysdry8u7 this be why offer threshold...
 @86cc0286 It's probably why I have too much PTFE tape.
 nostr:npub16jupxu70nh0pg0wt4maseaf2fg3kv2tgcjal2kaaunms2ltdaxysdry8u7 on the pavement?
 @760d5ffd Question 2.... where's my fork?
 Bloody Mead. Iesu Grist. Where's my kebab?
 Also, when cover bands do Belinda Carlisle around here they seem a bit offended when we all start singing "Oooh Cefn is a place near Chirk"
 Well that was odd. Met a girl today. 15 years ago she used to call me Poo Poo Head. Now she's 18 and out drinking. Haven't seen her in the in-between times.

Been a very odd old evening.
 I was talking with her mum on the bus. She asked me where I lived now. I told her and she said I used to live down there with X. She hadn't realised I'd got on the bus with X so was quite surprised when I turned to X and asked him if that was true. It had been so long ago they didn't recognise each other. X happens to be GW8ASD if you know him.
 Surprising the amount of damage you can do to your pinkie with a vegetable peeler.
Blood all over...
 @2eea00d0 I once ended up in A&E while making scones.
 That site said free shipping on orders over £60 on the top. If you read the delivery details page it was actually on orders over £75.

I wasn't going to argue the toss with them but I selected free delivery anyway for my £62.75 order and they honoured it.
 Urgh. Had a message off my dearly beloved that she could see what I put on what was a private facebook group. This isn't the first time I've seen this so be careful what you put on it. Luckily for me it wasn't particularly embarrassing.

Some old private Facebook groups appear to have turned public. This isn't good.
 nostr:npub16jupxu70nh0pg0wt4maseaf2fg3kv2tgcjal2kaaunms2ltdaxysdry8u7 Yeah, I don't get out anyth...
 @73fd1d93 I doubt you'd shock me.
 nostr:npub16jupxu70nh0pg0wt4maseaf2fg3kv2tgcjal2kaaunms2ltdaxysdry8u7 I use both. Octopus at home...
 @760d5ffd Ecotricity constantly fuck up my online bills with weird numbers, and double take when I pay online. I'm sick to death of them. I realise you're in Stroud...
 Does anyone have a bad word to say about aoctopus Energy before I launch into another diatribe about EcoFuckingTricity?
 nostr:npub16jupxu70nh0pg0wt4maseaf2fg3kv2tgcjal2kaaunms2ltdaxysdry8u7 You live in a VIZ comic strip.
 @2eea00d0 Several of them as it happens. The Real Ale Twats one is always fun.
 nostr:npub16jupxu70nh0pg0wt4maseaf2fg3kv2tgcjal2kaaunms2ltdaxysdry8u7 Ask me over a beer.
 @73fd1d93 I never see you anymore!
 nostr:npub16jupxu70nh0pg0wt4maseaf2fg3kv2tgcjal2kaaunms2ltdaxysdry8u7 We run them 5 a time in par...
 @73fd1d93 I have to ask what exactly you were trying to do with that? I have an idea but I like confirmation.
 nostr:npub18eqc760mmrjgfzg8pfkw2kassz5zf6nufj43u0h5s8jsh3kju52s44naqe nostr:npub157fz8d37d0qj6v7z...
 @843653f8 @3e418f69 @a79223b6 I used it to find out the times our electric kept tripping, and then managed to work out what the cause was.
 nostr:npub16jupxu70nh0pg0wt4maseaf2fg3kv2tgcjal2kaaunms2ltdaxysdry8u7 I've recently been involved...
 @73fd1d93 Oooh. Spicy.
 @73fd1d93 Got a spare psu for that? Asking for me.

I think you were gone before we did a 20kV source supply.
 Dealing with a bloke who doesn't realise that "when the p*ki fucker at the shop said my tablet was all working" isn't responsible for knowing his Facebook or email passwords.

I'm trying to get him into his account but I'm tempted to shove his tablet in the wrong hole.
 nostr:npub16jupxu70nh0pg0wt4maseaf2fg3kv2tgcjal2kaaunms2ltdaxysdry8u7 Party balloons, of course.
 @af279435 They need to be banned.
 I realised one problem about getting rid of fossil fuels - of which I'm completely in favour of, of course; where are we going to get Helium from?
 I could really do with a socket set right now
 @ec36a502 The 10mm and 13mm would still be missing.
 Those who remember me from the other site may remember that I save nice vacuum capacitors from scrap that would work well for Magloops.

I've just had another couple come into my possession that should be available once I've been able to build something to test for vacuum leakage on them.
 I also have 10kV 1mA bricks that we save from scrap that I can use for this. We have rather a lot of them and we don't know what to do with them all. Got some 20kV ones too. They scare me more. Arc fault testing was spicy.
 Actually, what voltage rating do people need? These are 9kV working, 15kV peak. They may work for some magloop designs even if the vacuum has popped. I have plenty of those.

Been a while since I've looked at it all.
 Back in the factory today. I've been nice enough to mask up.
 Wife has asked for an iPad for her birthday. I did my best Edward Tattsyrup voice - "This is an Android house for Android people. There'll be no Apple products here".
 Maybe I'm just not cut out for social media, I dont mix or play well with others.
 @ac91e25a That's why we're all here.
 Guy behind me has brought his persistent dry cough to the restaurant to share, and is complaining...
 @ec36a502 I don't normally suggest summary execution but you're there to do the risk assessment...
 *Reads the news

How exactly did we end up with this lot again?
 nostr:npub16jupxu70nh0pg0wt4maseaf2fg3kv2tgcjal2kaaunms2ltdaxysdry8u7 I look forward to the glut ...
 @2eea00d0 oh don't.
 Fucking donkeys. Fucking culture wars. Fuck off. If I could get any angrier I'd turn green and tear off my shirt.

 Ok, I've calmed down now. As much as I hate people, my experience in life is that most people are decent, at least in my circle of things. I haven't physically met many people who infuriate me. Oddly they only seem to do it on the Internet.
 I'm still on FB for reasons I'm not willing to argue about. I'm getting sponsored posts from people I already follow. Guess that gets the revenue up.
 Call me woke if you like, I don't take it as an insult. Basic facilities should be open to everyone. Don't make me take an angle grinder to that door.
 Also just a note to say that you don't grab someone's wheelchair to "help them" unless you've asked if they need it first. Don't do that.
 I spent most of my childhood around people with disabilities. My brother has CP. How, in 2023 are we still struggling to get access for people into buildings? I just popped to a shop and a wheelchair user was struggling to get into the door because of the door frame giving a significant step. I asked if they needed help. That was confirmed so I helped them into the shop. This shouldn't be a thing now in modern buildings.
 Call me woke if you like, I don't take it as an insult. Basic facilities should be open to everyone. Don't make me take an angle grinder to that door.
 And I'm not going to sort out your fusebox either. Fecking Part P.
 And I'll point out I'm in Wales which has stricter Part P rules than England for no obvious reason.
 Just because I'm capable of doing it doesn't mean I'm willing to do it. Especially if it's immoral.
 And I'm not going to sort out your fusebox either. Fecking Part P.
 nostr:npub16jupxu70nh0pg0wt4maseaf2fg3kv2tgcjal2kaaunms2ltdaxysdry8u7 I'm quite fond of Mint too,...
 @5879ad81 Ubuntu on a server? Crazy.
 nostr:npub16jupxu70nh0pg0wt4maseaf2fg3kv2tgcjal2kaaunms2ltdaxysdry8u7 my wife swears that a good ...
 @1056510e The chilli in that would certainly help sweat things out. I prefer more flavourful ones these days rather than hot. For some reason my body has developed a rather violent reaction to chilli over the last few years.
 Bit rough this morning but now other than a bit of gunk I feel ok. It's as if my body always beats the fuck out of infections within 48 hours. Every time. Except for long COVID, let's not talk about that.
 Has there ever been a proper study into the effect of curry on respiratory infections? It's the first thing I reach for but I can't come to a conclusion just based on a data set of me alone.

Lamb Saagwala with Keema Naan btw. It was delicious. And £ouchy but I didn't feel up to cooking one myself.
 @4165827c That view looks familiar for some reason.
 @5879ad81 Debian. Ubuntu can get into the sea although I quite like Mint but I default to the Debian version of it.
 @5879ad81 I have a realistic border collie on the chair by my bed. Someone had it in a pub and I bought it off them for a fiver. I have no idea what was going through my head at the time other than 4% Best Bitter but I don't regret that purchase.
 How can one human body create so much mucus? Thankfully still testing negative for COVID.
 Urgh. I don't get ill very often so this is knocking me about a bit.

 This was a bad idea. It hurts.

 Damn, should have added olives.

 @1056510e They paid it off years ago and there's no other charges on the property.

I'm wondering if it's something to do with the incoming installation of some NHS equipment but that seems a bit much.

I've alerted him anyway and he can deal with it. He's far from senile.

 @2eea00d0 I didn't have any pastry cutters so I used a wine glass. The stem shattered off as I was pushing down and went straight between my index and middle fingers.
