The initial budget estimate for the 2024 Paris Olympics was set at €6.8 billion in 2018.
However, this estimate has been revised upwards over time, with the budget increasing to €8.3 billion by 2022.
At present, the cost for facilities and operations, including the opening ceremony, has been about €9.1 billion or about $10.0 billion.

Travertine was the limestone used by the Romans for the pillars and walls of the Colosseum.
Travertine is durable and functional with a subtle aesthetic.
Areas in Texas near Austin, San Antonio, and Hill Country have travertine quarries.
1. Establish a Bitcoin Standard Olympics that celebrates hard work, truth and beauty - to compete with the Fiat MSM Olympics. The Bitcoin Standard Olympics would run on a Bitcoin Standard.
It would be located in one place and the event would happen every 4 years. Possibly in tandem with the halving, possibly in competition with the Fiat Olympics. No creepy opening ceremony. No men in women's sports.
2. Rather than a wandering Olympics that leaves behind a wasteland of buildings - sounds like high time preference fiat mind to me - build a low time preference stadium and complex, intended to be simply beautiful and built to last.
Maybe in Texas.
Maybe establish New Athens outside of Austin.
3. For the athletes:
1st place: Bitcoin
2nd place: Gold Coin
3rd place: Silver Coin
An event to celebrate humanity's hard work truth and beauty.
If you're interested, reach out. I'd like to get some folks talking about it.
