Where do we start?
...at the beginning.
Everything you bring to the start line can be used to either:
- confirm your bias so that you remain set in your ways, or
- confirm that you always have more to learn and so your journey becomes a marathon.
The start line may even be one of many.
My belief is that the world already gave you everything you need (read as: "without humans negatively affecting the lives of other humans we would have more ability to live with more purpose- there will always be shit human beings"); humans have interrupted and damaged what the world has given us and yet, we exist.
What that harmony looks like (between our plane of existence and us existing on it) is yet to be seen.
Do we continue believing we know better or do we learn about the world, form a connection with it and finally begin the process of rebuilding?
Heard this and thought it beneficial for anyone willing to listen.
You have two options: a voice or an exit.
We typically use our voice to be heard. That moment is passing and most voices are not being heard.
You can still use the exit.
Bitcoin is the exit.
"The correct and successful financial strategy under the fiat standard [current monetary system] is to constantly take on as much debt as possible, be meticulous about making all payments on time, and use the debt to buy hard assets that generate future returns."
- Saifedean Ammous
This current system taxes savers and subsidises borrowers.
This will not magically be fixed (no matter what new policy from which new government comes into power).
This is the root of all problems that you face today (yes, all problems- unless you live off grid in which case; how are you reading this right now?)
Understanding Bitcoin is also work.
You have been told it is volatile, you have been told it is a ponzi scheme, you have been told you cannot use it for anything (and then go and buy gold instead because you have good intentions for the future and are already searching for the exit...)
You have been told everything to keep you in the system that pretends to hear your voice and changes nothing.
It is a broken system, that you have been coerced into believing is the only way.
And you will fight me on this point alone because you know nothing else.
Use the exit.
This is the only time in human history that we have had the opportunity to all use the exit simultaneously.
So, will you continue complaining about policy and politics, pretending and hoping that your voice does something, or will you act?
The information is there.
The exit is accessible to all.
Do what you will.
It was never designed to be comfortable. It was always designed to break you.
Comfort creates complacency.
Complacency is ignorance, ignorance that everything you have and everything you believe you are, cannot, in one brief moment, all change.
All it takes is…
One spilt coffee
One failed rep
One skipped mortgage payment
One time getting fired
One bank account freeze
One car accident
If it is comfort you seek; to what end?
The fat cat only stops eating when there is no food left, or when he dies.
A comfortable life will still result in death and you may instead pass that eventual break to the next generation.
Or, perhaps, you see the ‘beauty in the breakdown’, you experience each break knowing that it is part of the whole; life as a layered experience of failure, learning, success and growth.
You will break.
How you embrace the change is what creates that beautiful life.
(Not comfortable… beautiful)
Empty promises.
Empty promises filled with stuff.
Individuality and idiosyncrasies make the collective stronger and yet, where is the vision?
There is always plenty of energy around 'the next new thing' and it is everywhere.
The next new toy.
The next new vacation.
The next new car.
The next new event.
The next new tax incentive.
To what end?
Where is the vision?
What about legacy?
Time. Time has been forgotten. We jump from one immediate piece of gratification to the next with no vision for what will happen with time.
"Time plus vision and energy is the only formula that has ever worked."
Get back to work.
Replace instant gratification and privilege with the calming sensation that your every move is hard work and one whose outcome will be experienced by the generations yet to come.
Use your energy to benefit your future self.
Use your vision to inspire another.
Use your time to enjoy each step as you take it.
The work is the reward. Or did you forget that?
“Tonight, I am also making another promise to protect Americans from government tyranny. As your president, I will never allow the creation of a Central Bank Digital Currency. Such a currency would give the federal government absolute control over your money. This would be a dangerous threat to freedom – and I will stop it from coming to America. We are also going to put in place strong protections to stop banks and regulators from trying to DE-BANK you for your political beliefs. That will NEVER happen while I am your president.”
Who said it?
The one most people out of the US criticise.
Does it matter to you?
Not yet, perhaps, but it will.
Furthering that thought...
It may feel like undue pressure to 'do good', 'seek truth' or even to help someone when we, too, are in need of help.
And yet, '...the accumulation of action through time' determines success.
Do you do 1 small thing today to help another?
Do you do 1 small thing today to better yourself?
Do you try something small and remain consistent with the effort?
Or, do you let it go, crumble under the pressure, become the victim, be the dirt?
In the end, we grow or die. The process of living always ends in death; your journey there is still, mostly, undecided.
It is perhaps worth noting that all lawful societies fail (not from good, noble intent of the law). So, how?
- ruling class exploitation of the law--> state of oppression
- ruled class stops following the law--> anarchy
- neighbouring nation is unsympathetic to the law--> invasion
Then, play it out. What happens, when does it happen, how does it happen (who is this already happening for...)?
Actions have consequences, typically yours will have consequences unto others and yet, it can be tempered. Something that comes to mind is:
"There are good human beings and there are shit human beings."
- A butchered quote from a respected individual in my past.
Perhaps, a better, longer quote:
"There will be times when the struggle seems impossible. I know this already. Alone, unsure, dwarfed by the scale of the enemy. Remember this: Freedom is a pure idea. It occurs spontaneously and without instruction. Random acts of insurrections are occurring constantly throughout the galaxy. There are whole armies, battalions that have no idea that they've already enlisted the cause. Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward. And remember this: The Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear. Remember that. And know this, the day will come when all these skirmishes and battles, these moments of defiance will have flooded the banks of the Empire's authority and then there will be one too many. One single thing will break the siege. Remember this: Try."
Keep trying, the good has already won but the path there is still undecided.
‘Winter sucks’.
No, that is your attitude. Winter can be harsh. Embrace the difficulty, do something with it, become something more than you are right now.
(This applies for all things that ‘suck’, that you find hard and that you don’t understand…yet)
I feel that for most still living in a financially privileged society they are just not running what they already innately feel and experience (‘tightening of the belt’, mild increase in living expenses, the desire to keep accepting ‘cash only’, wage increases not keeping pace) far enough into the future.
‘What does Bitcoin do?’ Simply means they have not pieced together the inevitability of their political currency unit to worsen these lived experiences for generations to come.
It may not affect you here, now or even middle term.
Your children, grand-children and great grand children will not be asking the same question.
It does not even need to be about Bitcoin.
The present is a gift (to be in a position to ask that question is a gift). What are you using it for so that you may gift more than survival to the future?
Learning about one or more health-related aspect. Apply what was learnt over an extended period of time (ideally, to some degree of proficiency or mastery).
Re-assess overall health / lived experience. Adjust accordingly.
Health-related activities will change as life situation changes. You may cycle through things that now don’t work, or, now they are actually something you should focus on.
Some specifics:
- From my perspective, most people overlook light health (and over-state their own specific requirements for gut-health).
- Understanding respiration has been a game changer for me (teachings from Erwan LeCorre instead of Wim Hoff).
- Overall mineral/vitamin content of naturally occurring food for where I live (seasonal eating instead of rigidity)
- Marry the disciplines of strength & flexibility in your training (they do not need to be separate).
- Do micro-difficult things often (improves tenacity).
It’s easy to have things go to plan.
It’s hard to plan when things aren’t easy.
It’s worth it to have your plan completely destroyed by something hard and for you to overcome that thing regardless.
Pure signal.

- Breathe (check out Erwan Le Corre instead of Wim)
- Lift (you can be strong, fast & bendy- check out Lucas Aaron from Range of Strength)
- Learn (I’d rather have singular focus when training but occasionally podcasts are too good to miss- check out the latest from Preston Pysh; BTC 155 with Dylan LeClair). https://image.nostr.build/aecc0c0fab3d045737a0a50f497843c2605d19337501c3524457c76dcf324cd4.jpg
