I'm just gonna hold off until Arma 4 releases properly. Me and my friends have had hudreds or hours of fun in Arma 3 with the ACE combat mod, and a proper radio mod (and several other mods as well). I hope Arma 4 will have a medical system at the level of ACE, and better radio integrated into the engine itself.
My mother is willing to give I a go, since Windows 10 is ending support in a year. Fingers crossed that it will be a stable and great experience for her light pc use 👍🏻😁
So how does video/media-hosting work on #Nostr? Do the Relays keep a copy of the files to distribute to network participants, or does it relly on external hosting? #AskNostr #Question
Pop!_OS looks pretty good IMO, and I'm personally quite excited to see how the Cosmic desktop will function 😃 Not sure how good Bazzite is though, it depends on what you need your system to do I guess?
But Pop!_OS... What a horrible choice of writing for their name 🙃
Yo, new to #Bitcoin and #LightningNetwork and all that jazz. Could someone recommend me:
1. A good, secure and future-proof hardware wallet
2. The best wallet or whatever to use Lightning
Today's Server Meshing test in #StarCitizen was night-and-day compared to yesterday. I never crashed once, and could connect reliably every time! They still have some polishing to do before it's ready for Live, but maaaaan I'm hopeful for this tech! 🤩 #Gaming #Testing #LinuxGaming
So what's the difference between a public and private mute? Does public mean I tell the relays I don't want to see content from said users, and private means the local app does the filtering? #AskNostr #Moderation #Filtering #Muting
Sooo, how do I find people who enjoy #Gaming, #FOSS, #OpenSource, #Linux on Nostr? Do I just follow the hashtags and see their content in my feed somehow? #AskNostr
I'm using the Yana app, and I'm finding it hard to follow hashtags that I like. Do I just press the star icon after I've tapped on the hashtag?
Also, searching for a hashtag does not seem to give me the option to follow it... 😩
I stopped buying their games a loooong time ago. It's just been trash, and everything seeps of moralizing, modern identity politics and historical inaccuracy...
You have kind of a similar origin story as me, but you're just waaaay ahead of where I'm at on my #Linux / #FOSS journey 😂
After Windows 8 I felt like Microsoft was taking the system down a path that I did not want to follow, so I started looking for alternatives. I started dual-booting Ubuntu on my PC (in 2016 I believe?), and I was blown away by what it offered concidering it was completely free of charge. I've stuck around ever since, and for many years now I've ran exclusively Linux on my gaming computer.
I have also slightly interacted with #OpenBSD and #FreeBSD, but I have yet to do a proper test of those. For now, Linux provides me with what I need and I'm happy with that 😃
Thanks to #Steam and #Lutris I can play pretty much whatever I want on #Linux these days. But if I were to recommend specific games; Hollow Knight, Barony, Call of Juarez Gunslinger, Halls of Torment and Portal 2. If you have friends, SnowRunner and Deep Rock Galactic are great games as well 😎
