I hate how this vid promote the "heroism" of the people. the kid was in no danger of being run over. it was right next to an intersection so everyone will be going slow, on the turn lane of the light and drivers automatically avoid even pieces of cardboard on the road.

I think this guy is just outright bad at math. No way the size of the lasers battery is anything less than 300kgs.
He also jumps from saying the laser point is 1.5 meters in diameter to saying it's .5 meters in diameter in the next sentence
Is s space laser possible yes. Is it possible to hide a space laser from even a hobbyist stargazer, no.
The IR radiation from the nuclear powerplant required for it will light up the sky
