Hi which nostr client were you using? I haven't heard of this happening before so I suspect it's a client issue. Some clients let you zap multiple times by tapping so maybe you tapped twice by mistake?
Thanks for the feedback. We haven't changed the default to sats (yet) because a lot of small businesses using our app expect to be able to enter values in their local fiat currency.
But we have just gone ahead and made the setting persist in your browser local storage now so at least now if you change to sats it will stick with that until you change it back rather than defaulting back to fiat all the time.
We've enabled the renepay plugin for our Core Lightning node and have been tweaking some of the routing fee and timeout parameters we use. Hopefully our outbound lightning payments will have a bit higher success rate now.
Will you get sales if you accept Bitcoin as payment?
99% of the businesses we onboarded in Vancouver are.
When you accept Bitcoin, it opens you up to the Bitcoin community from the free online promotion we give your business.
If you don't accept Bitcoin, the Bitcoin community doesn't know about you.
No plans currently. There's a community-contributed woocommerce plugin here: https://github.com/reddatos/coinos-woo
Is there some platform you'd like to see support for?
Almost all the merchant payments we process are done over the bitcoin lightning network so the transactions are not publicly visible as you seem to be implying.
Not sure I agree with you there. I think the majority of people using lightning are using no-KYC custodial wallets like ours and Wallet of Satoshi which offer decent privacy without any difficulty. Of course you're trading convenience and privacy for trustlessness in those cases but for small spending amounts that might be ok for many people.
Installing Tor Browser or Orbot is a pretty easy additional step people can take to avoid leaking their IP to us. E-cash is another good step forward because you can use it to transact without even having a pseudonymous account that the custodian can link payments to.
Ark is coming soon too and we're hopeful that it'll be another big boost for privacy and scalability on bitcoin with a simple UX.

Hi Anita, I was just able to redeem a 21 sat card from tipcards.io -- what issue were you having specifically? Did you get any kind of error message or what step did it fail at?
Hi it's not intentional if that's the case. We'll try to look into it and get it resolved. We do have dedicated onion services for our webpage vm7h454g5hiy2nt3u5o7evtz3vigtypo2mkyausakvdkbmd7wpyhx5qd.onion and mint pcc6c5dyf6562teaqfgawd4swyjfr64xsqwys3cr5c7xq6gzgx4w63yd.onion

I'm having trouble resolving lightning addresses from primal.net so couldn't get nostr:nprofile1qqs03ekxgdp0rczjfqrrpcn7zqtdec6lcwnpfesyxnl0f239qvege2gpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgqg5waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t0qyxhwumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmvrctmej but was able to zap you just now nostr:nprofile1qqsd3uut39959acqsvzua0chkjyj2e20y2ccp3vxrwq3g8uqenmjsjqpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7qgwwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkctcprfmhxue69uhhqatjv9mxjerp9ehx7um5wghxcctwvshs7vprz3 via coinos NWC
Sure we can. Can you suggest some apps/clients that make use of some of the other methods so we can test? Currently we have pay_invoice get_info and get_balance
Oh I guess you're referring to the Alby NWC app? Does it need us to support all the methods in the NIP or is there some subset it's looking for?

Yes extension support is on the todo list. Also even manually importing nsec's might be kind of broken at the moment just as a heads up, someone was reporting issues with it the other day.
Good question. The profile page is used for payments of all types. Technically, we are not a "POS".
With merchants that use us, they have 2 options.
1 - Have a tablet/smartphone with Coinos on it for the cashier to open for the customers to scan, or add a Coinos button to the current tablet being used.
2 - Have a QR code printed & a small 4inchx3inch printer for the cashier to have on-hand. Cashier tells the customer what they owe, customer scans the QR code, sends the payment, then the printer prints a receipt confirming the payment.
This is less work/steps for the cashier than Visa/MasterCard.
If your sending wallet is coinos NWC and the receicers lightning address is @coinos.io then we actually send an internal payment and skip lightning altogether so it's faster than lightning
