Bitcoin either works or it doesn’t.

If it does, demand will be so high that we will look back and laugh that anyone ever thought this was an issue worth discussing.

If it doesn’t, it won’t be worth securing in the first place.

The ham-fisted nature of renewable energy subsidies is actively harming the reliability of the grid system. It's a great shame because the free market has the solution; interruptible bitcoin mining operations.

Bitcoin mining operations are becoming one of the most integral parts of robust grid systems in the 21st century right in front of our eyes.

However, this is a very nuanced topic and I caution everyone not to fall into the trap of using bitcoin's demand response capabilities to incentivize the build out of more unreliable generation.

We need more nuclear, nat gas and coal generation. Over build as much reliable base load as possible, have miners soak up the excess generation, and create an environment where the Texas grid never comes as close as it did to black outs tonight.
Becoming convinced that fiat architecture is the biggest driver of "global warming". If you build large phallic glass structures and black tarmacs in the major metropolitan areas where the temperature measurements are taking place, it's likely going to lead to more heat.
 Fiat ruins everything.

It's harder to save than ever before.

Real estate affordability is running away from the Common Man.

People are completely detached from reality.

A culture of instant gratification buries people in debt and mindlessness.

The predators have co-opted the system and if you think they are going to relinquish their power and their ability to operate without consequences because you signal your wish for justice at the ballot box I have a unicorn that shits gold to sell you.

Did the US bank that received the $5m bribe Burisma sent Biden have proper KYC/AML compliance in place?
There’s been a lot of talk about the potential for the government to co-opt and/or seize miners to 51% attack the network or reorg the chain on an ongoing basis lately.

One thing that I think isn’t given enough thought in these discussions is the fact that coinbase rewards aren’t released to a miner until 100 blocks after the block they mined.

Can’t exactly put my finger on it, but I have an intuitive feeling that this is a crucial part of the game theory that many are missing.
The transition to a bitcoin standard may be happening sooner than anyone thought possible. When your monetary and banking systems are prototypical con games they collapse rather quickly when confidence begins to erode.

The federal government locked you down, printed trillions, tried to force an experimental gene therapy on you, and crippled the economy in the process.

Now that same government is trying to drag you into World War III.

Maybe it doesn't have your best interests in mind.

The same government is now trying to gaslight you into believing that sovereign money, robust communication tools, and healthy whole foods are hurting you.

"Bitcoin is for criminals and uses too much energy."

"Open communication makes it hard to stop misinformation from spreading."

"Cows are destroying the environment."

"We need to send $100B+ to support a war in a foreign land."

These people are shameless cretins making the world materially worse off. They should be cast away and ignored.
Bitcoin mining is igniting an engineering renaissance that almost no one notices. People think miners simply plug miners into a socket, but mining operations have to understand physics, heat density, electrical engineering, software, firmware, control systems, HVAC systems, dynamic pricing signals and much more to run reliably and profitably. Dropping a rip on Friday that dives into all of this.
 Great RHR episode yesterday. #[0] #[1] 🔥
 Thank you!
