Bitcoin mining operations are becoming one of the most integral parts of robust grid systems in the 21st century right in front of our eyes.
However, this is a very nuanced topic and I caution everyone not to fall into the trap of using bitcoin's demand response capabilities to incentivize the build out of more unreliable generation.
We need more nuclear, nat gas and coal generation. Over build as much reliable base load as possible, have miners soak up the excess generation, and create an environment where the Texas grid never comes as close as it did to black outs tonight.
It’s all about the base load.
Why did Texas go so hard on “renewables”? Wouldn’t expect that from a state like Texas.
This is what bait looks like
What was reason for such a near blackout ?
I agree but unfortunately we seem to be in some of a twilight phase with a whole range of topics such aa energy production and delivery.
As you say frequently we need civil disobedience. We need to get to wheels turn. Keep pushing, we’ll win
