not OP but I generally recommend proton mail
emails are stored with 0 access encryption (meaning proton can't see your emails), uses e2ee between users where possible, open source clients, solid reputation, based in switzerland, etc
I honestly think that #Nostr and crypto like #Bitcoin are one of those things where when you get it, you *get* it.
I just wish more people would take the time to understand these technologies and how they work and why they're important, because I think that's the only thing holding them back from average everyday people using them.
As for crypto specifically, there's also too many people who miss the entire point and just try to use it as a "get rich quick" scheme with random shitcoin #99.
I'm 100% convinced that these technologies are the future and right now are the only way to solve the problems of traditional social media and traditional banking respectively, and to protect our freedom in a world that seems to be trying to take it away. I hope to see them thrive.
