"most important task" sounds horribly reductionist - as if we poor humans were mechanical utility maximizers, weighing out our options and choosing ultra-rationally among them.

That Peter Thiel thinks it's a good idea, is enough for me to want to behave in the opposite direction.

I am happy to report that most of the inbox that had been intimidating me has been cleared, and that a couple of necessary things were completed, and I'll take that as a victory for now. 
 One of those days where I will be content with getting one thing done; because the alternative is getting no things done, and that would be unfortunate.
