I would say UX, the maturity of most clients, a bit confusing to understand what’s special with Nostr (concept behind relays NIP’s) if you aren't familiar with the technical aspects.
Also big one is the network effect.
Another one is that a lot of people keep promoting Bitcoin. I can understand it being a bit off-putting if you aren't into crypto or understand what it is. For people that are into other aspects of life and want to find like-minded people.
Hmm, been thinking about #GameDev and #Nostr implementation. Gives me ideas. Could be a lot of really cool potential there. Any game devs out there implementing Nostr features? How are you utilizing Nostr in your project? #Games
I think the biggest thing holding Nostr back right now (besides the network effect) is UX (including how to setup wallets etc) and the lack of uppfront information on how the relays work with NIPs .
I think a better overall onboarding and more stable clients will go a long way. I'm sure the Nostr community will get there soon.. Tons of activity on the dev side.
The concept is great I think, just need to mature a bit.
This is probably one of the most important books written in recent times. Want to know how we as a civilization got where we are today? And how the health of our planet really is? Here's a link to my review. It's heavy on science and numbers but a real eye opener!
I read this as research for a big and extremely important project I'm currently working on. A teaser is that it involves creating a sustainable future for our planet—a way we can do it together. I will be talking about it more soon.
And btw, if you are a scientist ( ocean, climate, anthropogenic effects, biodiversity, etc.), please reach out to me. I'm currently working on forming an advisory board for the project. I would love to tell you more about it.

Something that would be great from a #UX perspective for #Nostr clients is a #Relay browser that people could easily connect to. And also include what NIPs are supported by the relay. This way the user can make an informed decision as to what features the networks include.
I'm still learning about Nostr. But I think that would be a great way to educate people about what a relay is and how they can pick. It also brings more transparency.
I got surprised when I found out about some basic features that was missing (that I realised only after I had started posting). But then I learned that it's also a lot about what the relays choose to support.

Note to self...
Get off the screen, step outside for some fresh air and enjoy nature! Have a good face-to-face interaction with someone.
It's so easy to loose yourself in the digital world. Let's not forget the beautiful world we live in!

I still think the Nintendo64 is the best looking console. Great memories. I wish Nintendo would have kept “Ultra” instead of “64” though. What’s your favourite console design?
There was something special about popping in those cartridges. Turn on the console and just go, virtually no loading times. Imagine having it released today with updated internal hardware and capabilities.

As I dig deeper into the Nostr protocol, I am intrigued. I have some ideas. Now I'm itching to go build stuff! #Nostr #Social #Dev #Entrepreneur #webdev #software

I have the same feeling. Even though I love tech, I'm starting to appreciate analog stuff more and more. I write on paper now, I picked up some old canon vintage lenses for my DSLR Camera as examples.
I can appreciate all the AI advances and automation for tools when it comes to getting things done. But with all the advancements I can't help to feel it feels a bit hollow.
There's a beauty in taking your time for some things. There's value in tactile feel for things. Photography, art/design, even engineering.
Even consuming art and entertainment. I appreciate having everything available on streaming. BUT, I do really miss album cover art, the small booklets that came with CD's. And I still read all my books 99% physical.
Maybe this wasn't your point, but I can definitely relate.
I can definitely feel things getting updated regularly.
I'm really starting to “get it” with Nostr. If the UX can get simplified and the clients mature, I can definitely see an accelerated adoption rate.

I don't currently (haven't really been paying too much attention to crypto for a couple of years, until recently again). But something definitely worth exploring. Not sure how the market looks like when it comes to the amount of people willing to pay in Bitcoin though.
Besides getting paid in Bitcoin, also exploring what else can be done with crypto. What opportunities or problems can be solved with smart contracts or NFT (not talking about selling jpgs, but more the technical solution to digital ownership) for example.
I love what's happening with Nostr and Zaps. Definitely a potential "killer app" that might bring it more to the mainstream.
