 Florida lawmakers want to grow the state’s National Guard. I'm all for that if it will help DOD and provide more support to our national military effort. 

Unfortunately, #DeathSantis just wants a larger private army to use for political posturing like he's using them right now in Texas

 @2a70c54d Well, it certainly wasn't meant as sarcasm, & I'm not exactly sure what constitutes "aggressive defiance". Did I misunderstand your stem post? You said that nobody had ever actually wanted to work & I was just telling you that I actually had. Maybe I'm weird. My whole life I have been least comfortable & most dissatisfied when I've been at loose ends. I have actually done way more physical labor & felt more rewarded since I retired. I love working & grieve that my body won't let me

Disagree sharply! As a Senior Software Engineer at my last place of employment, I actually worked 80+ hour weeks ON MY OWN INITIATIVE because I was so excited about the product and about the code I was producing for that product. I actually RESENTED the time I had to "waste" by eating, sleeping & being involved in family activities. And, yes, it was WORK. I would leave the office after a 10 -12 hr day & hardly be able to drive home because I was so exhausted.

I WANTED to work!
