I went to Walgreens to get a Covid booster and a flu shot. Got the booster, not the flu shot. They wouldn't take my insurance and told me to go to CVS.
@3967703f I had to do the same thing. Seperate trip to a Kaiser clinic for my flu shot, but they didn't have the covid vaccine yet, so I had to go to Walgreens for that. :neocat_what:
@3967703f if that happens again point them to the bridge access program. https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/programs/bridge/index.html
@3967703f I had the reverse happen for last year's flu shot. I went to CVS, they wouldn't take my insurance and told me to go to Walgreens because they have an exclusive deal with BCBS in Texas. Our health care system is insane.
@3967703f this country is ridiculous. Flu shots should be free for everyone. And so should covid shots. I read an article last week about the snafus all over the country for people trying to get a covid booster and this was my favorite quote from a guy in Miami: “What kind of country that’s circling the drain am I living in where after years of this public health emergency I can’t get something as basic as a vaccine in one of the larger cities in the country?”
