Finished foundation season 2. The second half improves, but it’s still absolutely terrible. The...
@39c11d1e I decided from the start that I'd view the show as completely separate from the books. So far that is working out quite well for me.
@39c11d1e Exciting to see more players like this. I hope they do well.

Personally I am most excited about eventually running their /e/ OS on my fairphone 5.
 @eb948c00 A bit torn… isn’t this what content warnings are for? ;)
@eb948c00 I'll take "Industry development which could re-bump Unity stock price in spite of recent backlash" for 200.

@a9012b08 Ah if itch already has a way to handle multiple individual recipients then that would indeed seem ideal.

Though I would personally still want to consult with an accountant - just to be on the safe side.
We are an international team of 3 people wanting to publish a game for low price on itch.io, taxi...
@a9012b08 My gut reaction would be three holding companies owning a production company.

Stores only interface with the production company - keeping a simple familiar interface there.

When profit is produced in the production company, it is paid to the holding companies as dividends.

The actual people work out taxes in their home country and only have to deal with their relationship with their own local holding company.
@eb948c00 @f3c33fcb Synology is certainly easiest for plug & play, but as mentioned it does come with a price point.

Alternatively a 2nd hand mac mini (or maybe an old laptop) with external drives as needed, running something like TrueNAS Core is an effective, flexible, and similarly low power solution.

If you have the budget and just need the problem to go away, the Synology option is still likely the option you want.

@d2ad5b01 @eb948c00 (It’s secretly David’s fault - masterminding the whole thing from the hidden volcano base)
@6b550892 "Hilariously" the community discussion is now crawling with "y'all love Putin now" comments.

@39c11d1e Looks like people forgot to mention Proxmox as a solid open source alternative. It’s where I moved after DSM.

It doesn’t do Docker/OCI containers directly, but a VM with something like the suggested Portainer or ofc. something you’re more familiar with like yunohost would do the trick.

Some solid strengths include total & flexible control of hardware abstraction, excellent well-configurable backup, solid web interface, and eod you’re just dealing with Debian.
@39c11d1e Oh, also: Fellow “idiot” paying for content here.

A good tip for a good deal working really well here is fleamarkets. People seem to prefer monthly payments to streaming services which may or may not still have what they’re looking for, so BluRays are flying out to the markets.

That ofc. generally just covers popular movies & shows, so for slightly more niche stuff I support with full price. Works well for me.
