I have to say I’m disappointed @BTCsessions You did an hour long review of Proton Wallet and you didn’t called them out for promoting their wallet as a non custodial wallet when it is clearly not.
A non custodial wallet needs the seed phrase to regenerate, every time, always. Proton only needs your proton email and password to regenerate the wallet on any device, that’s not how a self custodial wallet works. You know how I know that? Cause I learned it from you.
What happened? Maybe the promo fee was very good?
Here’s an example (about another wallet) of you telling us “that’s not how a non-custodial wallet works”.
When using Proton Wallet you’re not the only one with the key. Proton argues that they’re calling it non custodial cause “we keep the key super secure”. Which is nonsense. They keep it and that makes it shared custody, they don’t get to redefine what a non custodial wallet is.

I understand you make a lot of videos and it’s absolutely not your responsibility to cover everything. I do believe, based on your teachings, that this is a fundamental aspect to take into consideration to decide whether to trust a company/wallet.
I believe you when you say you didn’t recieve any money, I don’t know how that really works I’m fairly new to this.
The most concerning thing for me is not actually how it works, but that they’re trying to trick new users who don’t have time to research like me. Maybe you can clarify on a later video, your endorsement means a lot for many users and they’ll jump right into it. Again, not your responsibility but a big overlook in my opinion. This is coming from someone who is fairly new here and still learning a lot about the topic, mostly from your channel.
It’s so annoying that notifications are different from one client to another, messages not showing up on one client and appearing on another, and likes on the other one and not on the first one, etc.
Since I came to Nostr I’ve needed 2mat the minimum.
